Even though Heidenheim played evenly with Leipzig and led 2-0, those goals practically came out of nowhere and perfectly reflect the xG at the time. The season was poor in the German league and now it is over in Europe as well. Of course, the motivation is not high in the local league when being close to the relegation zone, but the same motivation is present when facing foreign opponents for the chance to compete in Europe. Monchengladbach is quite solid and can potentially take away 3 points here.
