Vilius Gaubas has already shown in several challenger tournaments that he can compete with experienced clay court players. He has made it to the challenger finals, winning one of them. It's a great opportunity to face an American player next, but he will need to adapt and be more comfortable on clay, as he has had more success on faster surfaces in the US and may struggle on slower clay courts in Europe.
