The Latvians have already played against the weakest and strongest teams, now only the main opponents remain for a spot in the playoffs. The Finns, after yesterday's crushing defeat of Peru, probably gained confidence, but the question is how they will fare against a different type of team. The Latvians have talent and have played with Swedish NHL stars, being equal to them in periods, but later an unsuccessful period erased their whole performance. A new player, forward R. Abols, who arrived from the AHL league, will make his debut in the Latvian team.
