Emma Navarro used to be a very strong player, but this season she is unrecognizable. The American lost three consecutive matches on clay in three sets, winning the first set against Haddad, Vekic, and Tauson, which seems to indicate a lack of energy. Not to mention, at the prestigious Roland Garros, Navarro's game against Bouzas Maneiro Jessica was inexplicable, losing in the first round 0:6; 1:6. Something is not right with the American. Meanwhile, Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, after a rough start to the season, has started to improve her game and has recently pulled off several tough wins in three sets.
