The U20 World Championship was held to determine the final positions of the weaker teams in the tournament. The Colombians in their group were defeated by the weak Argentinian team with a score of 5-13 and also lost to the Australians with a score of 11-16. In their group, Canada was the favorite to advance to the next stage.
