I am really hoping for some drama in this match, since Liudmila has been playing well on grass lately, although she is not a complete monster, whereas Pegula has not been showing good performances recently. The next couple of weeks could work in her favor, but Liudmila could also take advantage of her good conditions, as the only other time these two faced off on grass, Liudmila came out on top, which may seem strange since Pegula usually performs well on grass. Pegula won here last year and defending the title is crucial for her ranking points, so I believe she will ultimately come out with a favorable result and triumph after a three-set match.
