Two teams that are not afraid to play open football and at first glance only rain can interrupt the view of at least a few goals. There have been some changes in the Riteriai team and coaching staff, and even though they managed to hold their own in Marijampolė, I believe it was an exception to the rule. Their defense didn't seem very strong, and perhaps Sūduva underestimated their opponents, as they only scored twice while there were plenty of opportunities to score, even for newcomer Novikovas. I don't believe that the same history will repeat itself and that Riteriai will manage to defend as well as they did last time. Hegelmann has finished their European adventure and now all attention is on the A-League, where they are being chased by KŽ and they must take three points here. Their offense is good, and even against bottom teams like Riteriai or Dainava this year they didn't have much trouble scoring, but their biggest issue was with defense. Despite the focus on offense, they were consistently conceding goals, and it even cost them points once. I don't think their approach will be any different tonight, and they won't start playing defensively against Riteriai... I hope the rain won't ruin the evening and the score will be something like 3-1.

Although Dziugas is quite an experienced team, today they will play after two consecutive losses, and defeats often emphasize the need for better defense. Dziugas is in a leadership position, which adds pressure and should naturally lead to more disciplined football. Vilnius seems to be recovering in one round, but then falling back into the same pitfalls, and it is clear that defense is a factor that needs improvement. The abnormal heat in Lithuania not only troubles the players, but also slows down the pace.
