Sparks nurtured big ambitions before the season when they added new faces, but the start of the season seemed disappointing. However, now their results are on a completely different level and I don't think they will finish as the 8th seed. GSV girls look pretty good for their first season, but their goal is probably to finish between 9th and 10th place. The roster is just too weak to make it to the playoffs, but towards the end of the regular season, I think they will start to shine. The loss to Peru before LA was just a reflection of the beginning of the season and should not be taken as a sign of their potential. Plus, with the emergence of player Kayla Thornton, they have become even better by the end of the season.
