One more match on the first day. Latvia against Turkey. Probably the most intriguing match of the first day. We are moving with Turkey Peru. Turkey has put together a very likeable team and they will even give Serbia a fight in their group. Larkin does not seem to be in his best form yet, but after good seasons, Osman and Sengun look really good. Bonaventura, who has played a lot due to injuries for the 76ers team, also seems to have improved, so this fantastic 4 should carry the Turks even with Ataman's tactics. They looked quite good in friendly matches. They lost to Lithuania at first, but they had just gathered for a training camp. Then came the loss against Germany by 2 points and 3 consecutive wins against Peru. They are a very solid team with a strong and mobile front line. If Larkin heats up, I believe this team can even compete for a medal.

Latvians are the most overhyped team for me. Now that they will be playing at home and have gathered their best team, a lot is expected from them. But will that put extra pressure on them and cause problems? It's an open question. Yes, they have Porzingis on the team, but his defense is a big hole at the moment, so it will be hard for him against Bonaventura or Sengun. They also have guard Zaigers, who even experienced an injury in a friendly match, so the question is how he will perform for the national team. They can shoot 3-pointers and run, but they are over-talented on the other side of the court. A big plus is their home arena. It should help with the atmosphere, but the question is whether it will be a hindrance in the first game. This is probably the most important match for potentially 2nd place in the group, so both teams should be fully focused.

However, I don't think Latvia's status as the favorite will help them in this match. They have always been used to playing under the underdog banner, and the Turks will triumph here. Their team composition seems more exciting to me and the higher odds are tempting to go with them. Good luck.

Finns seem to be doing very well and their aggressive attacks make us believe that it will be Peru against Lithuania. Our team is good as usual, but there is no game, and the strengths of other teams are being taken advantage of even better. We will see how it goes, but without 3-pointers it is very difficult, especially when the Finns play so well. The home handicap and even the players' handicap in some positions are strongly felt, so with such odds, I believe that the Finns must be taken.

At the championship, Lithuania made 2 3-pointers against the British, 9 against Montenegro, and 8 against Germany, while the Finns and Swedes made 9 and the British made 18 against Montenegro, respectively. The Finns had success with over 3-pointers and have a strong group of snipers, while Lithuania is weak in this area and their good results only come when Valančiūnas is successful, which is not surprising but also inconsistent. The Finns play at home and promote this style of play, which is why they have a high success rate with 3-pointers.

Very important game for 2nd place in the group. We are playing against Lithuania. With Finland handicap Home field and Lauris Markkenas. I see a plus for Lithuania national team, we have options to attack and defend against them. We have a longer bench. Maybe their front is not very mobile. But we have Ąžuolas and Tadas who can stop Markkenas.

Lithuania won with Rokas Jokubaitis scoring 12 points. Jokubaitis, the leader of the Lithuanian team, scored 12, 21, and 20 points respectively in the championship. Lithuania now has a chance to compete for second place in the Championship. These upcoming games are crucial, and after losing to Germany, I am eagerly awaiting a different mindset and emotional state.

Truly a great advantage, having one Markkanen won't weaken the Lithuanian national team, especially since he can also play alongside two centers at the same time, it would be great to see Valanciunas and Tubelis playing together. Other players, no matter who they are, are more consistent and of a higher level than those in Lithuania. It is usually the most difficult to play against teams with good players, which is not the case here. Furthermore, Finland is currently dominating Peru for a long time, but they have not yet played against serious national teams, whereas their match against Sweden was evenly matched, while Lithuania is at a different level.

    Over (Valanciunas 6.5 Rebs) @-132 8/10
The total should be quite low, as JV will have to fight for every rebound against Finland, whose front line is soft, I would say. Markkanen is a beast on offense, but in the battle for rebounds, JV should dominate. He grabbed 9 and 10 rebounds against GB and Montenegro, and only 4 against Germany, but I don't think that will happen again. I believe he will grab between 9-12 rebounds.

If you don't gather any foolish mistakes against Markkanen, it will be easy to get those points. Valančiūnas is known for his weak defense and it's a handicap for Finland to try and take on Jona's speed, but his absence in the game will not go unnoticed. He is still a valuable asset in offense and I believe that with his physicality, he will be able to dominate any opponent. Even though they held on for a long time against the Germans, most of the points were still made by him. So I don't think there will be any other outcome here.

In the previous match, I stood and nothing has changed now. Sirvydis was taken here to make points. It was quite disappointing in the previous (although only one shot was missing) that the coach only let him play in the end of the second period, which seriously affected the betting, even though he was able to make a 3-point shot immediately. It seems like he was suddenly distracted, and couldn't get into the game when he was let in so late. Many people noticed this and it needs to be changed. We are waiting for a quick match similar to the one with the Germans, I am looking forward to the end of the game.

Finland does not have strong players who could stop Valanciunas, they are waiting for an important match against Ghana, so Valanciunas will definitely be needed, if there are no foolish mistakes to throw him off track easily.

Lithuania, with a good German mindset, must overcome Finland without words, otherwise there is nothing to do here. Finland, having secured a place on the wave, can relax and not worry about survival, while LT under the German influence will only be oriented towards Peru. The handicap is easily overcome, even in the Nokia arena, time for a guaranteed win.

We need to try it out, because it's itching a lot. The Finns are realistically the substitutes for the German style of play - run and throw, but maybe with a bit less talent. But realistically, almost everyone there can throw grenades or from medium distance. After Lithuania, there won't be anything to do because of our roofs, unless we find bunkers in defense, which our guys often leave. But the Lithuanian game is offensive, more through physical contact, grenades have fallen randomly so far. If the Finns establish their style and haven't lost their ranks, it won't be easy for them today. And after a painful and hopeless defeat, psychology often plays a part and don't let us have a bad game. In my opinion, in the match against Peru, the odds are more in favor of the Finns and an over is likely to happen.

In my opinion, we will see a completely different match here than against the Germans. Lithuania promises an accentuated defense, so we should be able to control the pace, score penalties and control the leaders of the periods. This didn't work against the Germans, but now there will be more tension for both teams, so I'm expecting a slower match, especially with fatigue setting in as it is the fourth match. I believe both teams want to avoid Turks/Serbs, who are looking very strong.
