The U21 Men's World Championship is taking place in China. The tournament is for 9th-16th place. The South Americans did not surprise here - they competed at their level, although progress can be seen. The Japanese only lost to the top teams in their age group, otherwise they have been handling their opponents calmly. It was painful to lose in the quarter-finals of the tournament, where in the fifth (decisive) set they were leading 10-5, but ultimately lost 13-15 to the Chinese hosts. I believe the Japanese have mentally recovered and will press their opponents from the very beginning.
