Hello.
Eurobasket Quarterfinals. Lithuania against Greece. We are going with Lithuania till the end. Kurtinaitis is proving that Lithuania cannot be counted out in this championship. The only loss so far was against Germany, where we lost in the 4th quarter. We have made comebacks in the past, but against Germany everything fell apart and we could not do anything. In the round of 16 against Latvia, we were written off by everyone, even the Latvian media, but we did not lose to them for even a second and controlled the pace of the game. Kurtis always comes up with ways to surprise our opponents. Against Markkanen, Margo was put in to stop him from playing fast, and when we played against Latvia with Žagars, Tubelis was put in and after a 2 on 2 switch, Blazevic would be left on him, and Porzingis would guard Tubelis (no advantage was created). Now we face Giannis. He may be a monster, but he also has weak points. He is a weak shooter from the three point zone and has an average free throw percentage. Of course, once he gets under the basket, he is unstoppable, but I believe Lithuania will find ways to prevent that. Dorsey can also be a threat, or maybe Sloukas, but they are not as deadly as Giannis. Sloukas is also feeling the effects of age and is not as fast as before. It was tough against Israel in the round of 16 as well. It seemed like we could close out the game, but due to mistakes and unprepared shots, the Israelis were able to make a comeback. Unfortunately, we couldn't hold on against the Greeks, but it was a fight until the end. Plus, Lithuania will have an extra day of rest to heal any minor injuries and prepare a game plan. Yes, this bet is risky, but the odds are worth it. Good luck.
