Eurobasket quarterfinals. Germany against Slovenia. We are rooting for Slovenia.
The Germans are clearly dominating so far, but their opponents have not been the strongest. In the eighth-finals, they unexpectedly struggled against Portugal, where it was a neck-and-neck game until the end. The team overall is well-rounded and most likely to win the championship. However, we should never count out Luka. He is a phenomenal player and even with a weaker team, he is able to lead them forward. He played fantastically against Italy in the first half. Today, I don't think it will be an under game. He is the top scorer in the championship and I don't see how the Germans will be able to stop him. They will most likely try to provoke fouls and disrupt the team. I don't believe he can pull the team ahead against the Germans, but he can definitely fight until the end of the game. And with a close score, anything is possible. Even though Slovenia doesn't have the best players, Luka alone attracts the defense, leaving his teammates open for shots. We can expect to see some good shots from them, and with their strong defense, we can't doubt their abilities.
In conclusion, I think the Germans will win, but not by 14 points or more. My prediction is 8-10 points in their favor. Good luck.
