Hello.
Eurobasket semi-final. Greece against Turkey. We are facing the Greek team. They appear to be solid in both offense and defense. Even against Lithuania, they managed to secure a confident win with a not-so-great percentage and despite having Giannis somewhat contained. As Spanoulis himself said, this team is well built around Giannis. If you pressure him, he can dish out to good shooters like Dorsey, Sloukas, or Toliopoulos. In defense, the younger brother Kostas also looks strong, as well as Kalaitzakis who doesn't spoil the view. Tall players like Mitoglou or Papanikolaou can also make shots, so there aren't many potential risks. Personally, no one will stop Giannis in a 1v1 situation, so we can't be naive, and I think there will be opportunities for our shooters.
Turkey also looks strong and they haven't stumbled yet in the tournament. However, they struggled a bit against Sweden, and the game against Poland was played fairly easily. But their opponents until this stage were also relatively easy in the knockouts. Now they will face a strong opponent and it could be a bit unexpected for them, as they were probably expecting their only competition in the final to be Germany. Sengun is definitely a good player, but today he will have Giannis against him. We'll see how he handles that. A lot of the team's success will also depend on Larkin, who is a player who performs according to his mood. If it's a bad day for him, the team will struggle (we saw this against Sweden). Osman seems to have not suffered a serious injury as he returned in the match against Poland, but there may still be some discomfort, which could also be a factor.
All in all, it seems like an evenly matched game, but Greece has a better defense, which is why I'm rooting for them. Plus, the odds are tempting. Good luck.

Although the Finnish team lost their group match terribly, the game was not favorable for them and scoring 61 points says it all. In the tournament, without these matches, they scored 78 points against Lithuania, where the game also did not go smoothly. The Germans have a strong offense, but they definitely don't have a defensive team. I don't want to believe that the Finns will only have a 30% chance in the second match. The Germans have already shown against Slovenia that they are strong in 3-point game and they will continue with it. The Finns are already the winners here, as even in a loss, they will have a chance to compete for a medal, so the pressure should be on the Germans.

As much as the preparation, this tournament showed that the representative from Varese is a very important player in the ranks of Finland. His totals in this tournament were 3, 13, 10, 8, 16, 3 and 8, which is a stable performance from the bench. He had a score of 16 points in the crucial match against Germany, and it should be noted that he maintained this form throughout the preparation cycle. During friendly matches, he contributed 11, 12, and 18 points respectively. In order for Finland to have any chance, they will need contributions from all their leaders, and this player from Varese is perhaps the most important off the bench.

Well, the Finns play significantly better and won't be as crushed as in the group stage, but the Germans had two tough matches where both accuracy and playing didn't go well for a long time. Now I expect a successful game from the start and in that scenario, I believe the Germans will dominate from the beginning and easily defeat the Finns. It must be admitted that the world champions are very strong, while the Finns are not consistent.

The Finns only managed to score 61 points against the Germans in their first home game, but absolutely no one expected them to do well and it was the only truly badly played match for them in this championship. This score is the first time that gives hope that the next game will be different, not necessarily a win for Peru, but at least a more productive performance and a better fight. The Germans do not have a strong defense team, they prefer to play at a fast pace, which I believe works to the Finns' advantage in collecting points, and overall Finland is now on the rise. They beat Serbia and easily defeated Georgia, both earning 92 and 93 points, and their offense looks very impressive. Of course, it helps that they have shooters, which is one of the strongest weapons for the Finns, and it would not be surprising if they use it well here as well. I think 84 points is a more achievable goal.

    Hello.
Eurobasket semifinals. Germany vs. Finland. We are rooting for the Finns.
I underestimated the Finns a bit, but I admit it and I expected them to struggle in the quarterfinals, but I was wrong. They handled the Georgians easier than expected and advanced to the semifinals. In general, the Finns are playing as if on the wings. The team with Markkanen and other players who can shoot from afar seems solid. Like the Germans, they like a fast-paced game, so we should see a great show. The teams have already met in the group stage and the Germans completely dominated the Finns, but the Finns shot terribly from 3PT (didn't even reach 20 percent!). Today, I hope for a completely different game and the team continues to surprise me with their ease.
The Germans struggled against the Portuguese in the 3rd quarter, and against the Slovenians they struggled throughout the whole match and were even behind for the majority of it. Now in the semifinals, there is a lot of pressure for both teams to make it to the finals (since the Germans are clear favorites), while the Finns have already exceeded expectations. The handicap seems too high to me. I even think that the Finns have a chance to fight for Peru today, so I will take this handicap with satisfaction. Good luck.
