LKL. Žalgiris against Siauliai. We are traveling with a plus against Siauliai.
Siauliai looks quite cute, at least on paper, but the view on the court was fun against Gargždai. Reddish hasn't moved much yet and hasn't played a lot, but Songaila said it's nothing serious, just muscle spasms. I think he will want to show himself here, after all, he will play against a Euroleague team.
Žalgiris still looks like they are in preparation mode and it's just another friendly match before Euroleague. They won easily against Jonava, but there wasn't any serious competition, and we saw how Lietkabelis easily beat Jonava yesterday. Today I think they will also try to experiment with Masiulis, to try out tactics with new and not completely integrated players (Lo, Sirvydis, Tubelis, Francisco). They all returned late from the European Championship and I think they still need to play together.
On top of that, there won't be the GWB stands so those stands won't quite feel like home. Knowing the attendance in LKL and without the GWB stands, Kaunas should be quite quiet. We'll see.
Overall, with everything considered, the handicap seems a bit too high. We'll see.
