Although Atletico's form was not the best, they looked really good against Liverpool, despite conceding two quick goals. Then came the away game against Mallorca, where Atletico looked even better, but sometimes that is not enough. Today's opponent is Rayo Vallecano, whose form is not impressive and even though they are not a bad team, Atletico knows how to play against them. This game is extremely important before the derby on Saturday, as getting points here would greatly improve their position in the league table.
