The culmination of the Icelandic league is approaching and it's getting hot at the top, with Stjarnan securing 3rd place and overtaking the better known team Vikingur with just a 4 point difference. Even if Stjarnan fails to take 1st place, they can still finish the season in 2nd place as they are currently tied with Valur in points. Despite the fact that Vikingur has shown that they can play well against Stjarnan throughout the season, the two encounters so far have ended in a 2-2 draw and Stjarnan's away game was a 2-4 defeat where they conceded 16 and 12 corner kicks. Knowing the high number of corner kicks in today's game, it is possible to expect the same and for Stjarnan to not lose as they only have to play for corner kicks at home.
