The very first preseason NBA game ended with a total of 183 points between the 76ers and the Knicks. Despite having potentially stronger offensive teams now, I don't think there will still be a high scoring game. The leaders are being rested, it's the first game and it's difficult to find the right rhythm, so I don't expect a lot of points. The total is set at around 55 points per quarter, and it's a neutral game, so I think it will be quite difficult to reach that point total.
