Just too high of a coefficient for Medvedev to not try. The odds were looking miraculously in favor of Medv, but the Russian still pulled through. With such a coefficient, it's not even worth considering Medv as a strong favorite, no matter how unsuccessful his season may be. Maybe he won't win, but just for the odds, it's worth putting a little something on him.
