In the first match, both teams tragically missed 3 pointers. Gran Canaria 3/17, and Jairis 2/18. Both teams failed to gather even 60 points, but they are not such poorly skilled teams. Gran Canaria sticks to their style and plays with a rotation of 7-8 players. They play fast, but use a lot of zone defense, which allows opponents to score 3 pointers. Jairis can definitely make those 3 pointers. I hope they don't miss as tragically as in the first match. Gran Canaria also has talented players - Heriaud, Contell, Mane, Sherill. From this season, a new rule has been implemented in the women's league where the ball no longer needs intervention from the referee when it goes out of bounds. The player can now take the ball and immediately continue playing (this rule has been in place for men's games since Peru, it seems). This speeds up the game, so it could also be a factor.
