Mikulskytė - Xu

The ITF W100 Wrexham tournament in the UK is held on a hard court. Lithuania's Justina Mikulskytė (WTA #216) and home court host Mingee Xu (WTA #381) will meet. Xu is a favorable opponent for Mikulskytė, as she does not have much experience. Justina sometimes loses to unknown players, but in this tournament it seems that she has a good chance to make it to the semi-finals at least. Xu's opponents in this period are not as threatening, and the local player does not appear to be any better or on par with Justina. Xu's only strong aspect is her serve, and if Justina is able to receive it and return the ball well, Xu will have a hard time holding her serve as Mikulskytė plays patiently and attacks the corners at the right moments. In my opinion, the bookmakers' odds are illogical as Xu's home court advantage will not help her defeat an experienced opponent.
