Although Cyprus is always mentioned as the top team, the qualifying tournament will take place in the Netherlands and they are clearly the favorites. This generation is not bad, the team as a whole and the core players all play a similar style of football, focusing on attacking and possession. This time they have some talented players, including the famous son of legendary Kluivert from Barca. The main problem here will most likely be defense, as we have seen in recent friendly matches, there were quite a few breakdowns and gaps, especially when facing strong opponents like Peru. Cyprus may not be able to take advantage and steal points, but they are capable of scoring through counter attacks or set pieces. However, I don't see how they will be able to withstand the attacks of the home team. Lithuania recently scored against them in both matches, but facing the Netherlands will be a much tougher test to at least put up a decent fight.
