Baskonia is a home team, and although they are currently on a losing streak of 4 matches, they also have a four-game winning streak at home. Bayern team seems to be struggling, and their quick and high-scoring basketball is by no means a disadvantage against Baskonia. Baskonia, who plays at home, is a very serious team that Bayern must defeat.
Finally, Jasikevicius' team started to play the way they should. 6 wins in a row and 3 of them in Euroleague, even at home, but still managed to beat one of the Euroleague leaders, Hapeol. Fenerbahçe found their game and, although not extremely strong, are once again becoming a winning team. Partizan's performance has been getting worse and worse, and even though playing at home is a strong point for them, I don't think they should have the status of a favorite and they won't be able to live up to it.
The partisan is completely lifeless this season. They couldn't get it together, and they were lucky to avoid defeat against Monaco. Fener seems to be getting back on their feet, having a good run, their defense looks great, and they are finally creating something in offense. Sarunas should continue his good streak.
Saro's boys are gaining speed, Fener already overcame Peru and has both victories and good rankings after the period, especially against the table leaders Hapoel. It's somewhat typical for Saro's team to start the season slow but then catch up and it seems like Fener has really caught up and these are the games they should win because Partizan looks very weak at the moment, the only advantage they have is playing at home and being able to resist the fans, but without Carlik Jones they have lost 2 out of 3 games at home, narrowly losing to Monaco. I believe Fener's odds are worth taking.
We're going with Edward's points today, expecting him to score over 20. The opponent, Overius with Maccabi NBA style, is showing signs of weakness and Edwards, as a skilled scorer, should be able to take advantage. Edwards has been playing very well at home this season, scoring 20+ points in 3 out of 4 games, so I believe he will have a good game at home and playing against a team that gives up a lot of points, he should be able to add another 20+ points.
Hello.
Euroleague. Partizan against Fenerbahce. Let's go with Calathes 6.5 points under. Calathes hasn't been scoring such points for a long time. He's still okay as an offensive organizer, but not so much as a scorer. Both last season and this season, his averages are well below this threshold. Yes, he scored 10 points against Monaco, but he made 2 three-pointers, and he's a very poor three-point shooter. Even this season in Partizan he has only 22% accuracy in 4 matches (both 3PT shots were made against Monaco, while in all other matches everything was missed). Plus, we're playing against Sharas, who has defended Calathes several times (both with Barça and Fenerbahce), so this Greek player will definitely not surprise him. Also, Shake Milton has returned to the lineup and Marinkovic should return today, which also cuts into his minutes in the game. All in all, adding up to 7 points seems a bit too much for this Greek player today. Good luck.
Hello.
Euroleague. Baskonia against Bayern. We're moving with Howard's injury. Howard is a terribly inefficient player. He only shoots 3-pointers and hardly ever makes anything from the 2-point zone. This season, he has made only 8 two-pointers (4 successful) and 43 3-pointers (only 11 of which were successful, with an accuracy of 25.6%). He indulges himself too much and it is clear that the coaches do not like it anymore. Returning from injury, he played 23 and 16 minutes and scored 8 and 5 points respectively. He will need at least 3 accurate 3-pointers (possibly 4, as I mentioned before, he rarely makes two-pointers) to reach that total. He doesn't go into contact at all (no free throws made this year), so it's hard to imagine him getting that many points. He scored a total of 11 points in the first 2 matches, where he made 11 and 9 3-pointers respectively (scored 4 both times). I don't think he will have as much freedom against Bayern, and it seems that the coach is no longer pleased with his antics. If he doesn't have a good shooting night, I don't believe he will reach the 11 points mark. Good luck.
Lonnie minutes are falling, in the last matches he played for 14 and 16 minutes. Of course, he didn't score many points with such limited playing time. It seems that Katashas is starting to understand what kind of bird this is with his silly game and decisions. Other players get more minutes, but they don't even attempt shots during each attack. The total is high, even if they have more time, there will be problems for Peru, because Virtus clearly focuses on defense at home and nobody will give them easy points, and Walker's percentages are 40/32/70 which doesn't promise anything good.
In the last 5 games, there have been 3 victories. Fenerbahce's game has improved and Biberovic's better performance definitely contributed to it. He is a skilled player and has the trust of both the team and coach. In this season, Partizan's average points per game for forwards is 1.9, which is the highest in the tournament.
Do not blame me, Partizan, but the team does not seem to have a very good composition. Obradovic tactically and in terms of attitude seems to be a bit behind and the whole fault lies on the players. I think this has a significant impact on the results. Fenerbahce caught the momentum, the game is improving and the players are understanding each other better. Tucker, running like a tank, gives a lot. For me, these are 50/50 matches, the home factor and the poor Partizan series being the biggest downside.
Several players are returning to Bayern's rotation and facing a strong opponent like Baskonia is excellent news. But the most important thing is that Obst is coming back, who is a very useful player for the team. Baskonia also has players returning to their lineup, including Howard, who is helpful on offense rather than defense. Baskonia plays at a fast pace, and with the return of their players, they will have more options on offense. Bayern lost a couple of defensive games, and I am skeptical if this kind of game is suitable for the Germans. In my opinion, Bayern's offensive players stand out in this type of basketball.
I believe Zvezda will offer a serious fight in these matches. McCintyre is playing well, Butler has started scoring well. The most important thing is that both Moneke and Nwora are returning for these matches. There will be a lot of contact offered and it's hard to say how long they will last. I think it will be a close game and the odds are appropriate for that.
