Both young and progressing tennis players, Jones Emerson - a 17-year-old Australian, has already won several ITF tournaments, but is still playing smaller tournaments in their homeland.
On the other hand, Bartunkova - a 20-year-old Czech player, has also won several ITF tournaments, but this year has had a surprisingly strong performance, qualifying for larger tournaments. She made it to the third round in the Gran Slam AO, defeating Kasatkina and Bencic. In the quarterfinals of a home tournament in Ostrava, she defeated Blinkova in two sets. This week, in the Austin tournament, she also defeated local player Volynets K in two sets.
Bartunkova is older and has a stronger first serve. She fights for every ball and I believe she has what it takes to make the first steps towards playing in bigger tournaments at only 17 years old.
