I think Iran should be a bigger favourite here. The national team, which has left a good impression in recent World Cups, has shown solid fighting spirit in tough groups and is currently ranked in the Top 20 by FIFA. This year, Iran has a very good chance to break through the group stage, which they haven't been able to do in previous tournaments despite playing well. Peru should be enough for Iran to move on, and they may even take some points from a weaker opponent, New Zealand. Despite their poor preparation and losing 4-0 to Haiti and 1-0 to England (although England were also struggling at the time), from their last 11 matches, New Zealand has lost 9, so I believe if Iran plays up to their potential, they can take all 3 points and take an important step towards the next stage.
