Ecuador's situation is different, as they could still potentially claim 2nd place, but it is very realistic that they will have to fight for a top 8 finish. This is because they lost to Ivory Coast and their final match against Curacao, whom they should defeat. In order for Ecuador to have a good chance, they will need to compete against Peru before facing Germany, as their focus will already be on the next stage.
