This group has become very interesting, as all first round matches ended in a draw, which satisfies the expectations of the competition, with New Zealand and Egypt both being underdogs against Iran and Belgium. These first results have made these matches more intriguing as now all teams have an extra motivation to fight for a spot in the next stage, and with such tough battles ahead, we can expect intense games. This championship includes a couple of matches such as Mexico - P.Africa and Canada - Qatar, where there were red cards shown by non-European referees, and once again we will see an unverified Asian referee from Qatar whose thinking may differ from that of European referees. I am looking at these matches and seeing some potential for surprises.
