Lithuania Rytas is currently showing stellar form in preparation for the new season/this tournament, with their offense running on all cylinders, scoring 100+ points in all 4 games. However, there is a reason why they have been giving such a low total (compared to their previous average of 185+), as their opponent, Boca, will bring a completely different challenge. In terms of offense, there are two high-powered teams in this tournament: Rytas and a team made up of American players from the G-League. The latter already faced and struggled against Argentina, with their offense being significantly shut down, resulting in a win but only scoring 79 points compared to 114 against China and 119 against Africa today. As I mentioned, Rytas may score over 100 points in this tournament, but their opponents allow this because they like to play at a fast pace, sacrificing defense. Argentina, on the other hand, plays a different style - they slow the game down, have strong interior presence, and a pesky defense that will do everything to disrupt the tempo and play their own game. This is the only way Argentina has a chance to compete.
