3x3 Olympic qualifier. Quarterfinals. Arguably the most important stage, because there is no room for mistakes - you make one and you're out, goodbye Olympics. And here it's German youth against French experience. I think there is one important aspect here - experience in these types of competitions. The German team is young, athletic, and I believe they have a bright future if they stay intact, but they also have a lot of chaos, uncertainty, that youthful game where energy takes over a healthy mind. We saw the consequences of that from the game against the Swiss, where they almost lost, even though they could have just easily taken control from the beginning and beat Madagascar in the last second, and yesterday's unexpected game against Peru, who already secured their spot in the next round. I think the French have put together a better team than their previous qualifiers and their gameplay looks more solid, I would bet on them. I think experience will play a big role today. The Germans could be too overconfident, get discouraged, but if they have off games or if any of their players don't have an almost perfect game like yesterday, then they quickly fall apart, start rushing, forcing shots, and struggling. We saw that in the last game, it was not a good game. I realistically expect the same today, that the French will push them to play an uncomfortable game and take care of business on offense themselves. The odds are also pretty good, because I think the French are the bigger favorites.
