EPL: Wolves vs Chelsea Match Betting Preview

Chelsea look to build on from the win against Fulham as they go away to currently an in woeful form Wolves. Chelsea have bounced back from their loss to Spurs with a 2-0 win over their West London rivals Fulham and have moved back up to 3rd this weekend however the games are coming up fast and they’re in action again against a tough side despite their form in Wolves. Wolves have already snatched pts from some big boys this season and can’t be taken lightly here. Chelsea will need to be on their game if they want to pick up the win whereas Wolves are seeking to find something to end their run of bad form.

Team News

Wolves: Wolves are going to be missing their star midfielder Ruben Neves due to suspension and will most likely be replaced by Belgian Dendocker. Elsewhere it’s a healthy side. We saw rotation on Friday against Cardiff, Cavaleiro and Jota were benched but are likely to return into the lineup. We’ll likely see some other rotational changes by Wolves given that the games are coming fast this month.

Chelsea: The blues don’t have any serious injuries, Ross Barkley was out on Sunday but is in contention to be back. We could see some rotation by Sarri as Willian, Morata, Loftus-Cheek and even Barkley are all looking to start. Pedro and Giroud started during the weekend and despite putting on good performance they’re likely going to be back on the bench as the game against City is just 3 days later. Kovacic will likely be replaced by either Barkley or in form Loftus-Cheek. We may see some rotation at the back too.

Betting Tips and Predictions

This could very well be a trap game for Chelsea. Wolves are in horrible form, no star man, midweek fixture, huge game ahead (for Chelsea)  and there’s always a chance they make take the foot of the pedal thinking ahead too much and overlooking Wolves. We’re looking for an under-ish game here. Wolves games are low scoring, even against the big boys this season they’ve been able to contain the likes of arsenal and City so they clearly are no joke. Under 2.5 at 1.89 is our top pick here. We do believe that Wolves will be able to snatch a point from this game and the +0.5 handicap at 2.12 is a good pick for sure. Chelsea themselves don’t look too great right now anyway, bad loss to Spurs, sluggish in the win over Fulham. In our eyes this is a trap game and Wolves will be able to hold Chelsea to a 1-1 draw!
