I recently encountered some disturbing comments made by some guy calling himself sycosteve or something or other while playing a tourney at Doyles Room this past Friday.Though I enjoy playing Ix games tourneys very much I don't think players such as these such be allowed to continue to be allowed to be participate in these great tourneys that IX games has. This man continued to name call in a fashion that was not the most fitting for the type of player that really should be allowed to participate in this forum. What I mean by this is quite simple......If one is going to participate and be a part of a forum like he so eagerly so wants to proves to others in the way he posts then why not fully do so in a fashion that would fully back that up. The man wants to show others how clever he can be but when he plays and types negative comments that are insultive then where is the wit in that.Anyway I just wanted the forum administrator to catch wind of what occured this past Friday and what should not be allowed to take place in the future.Once again the individuals name is sycosteve or something to that effect.There should be zero tolerance for this type of rude and foolish behavior. Once again the sycosteve is the persons screenname and should at least be warned from ever even thinking of acting in that childish manner. The funny part is I took half his stack and then he calls me names.........What kind of player is that😟
For the fourth time just for clarity Sycosteve is the persons name.Anyway Thanks IX games for all the great tourneys. Hope everyone sees this😡

[FONT="Franklin Gothic Medium"]Got it. You're calling me out. Honestly, I don't remember what I said -- I play a ton of games each weekend and can't remember each one -- but if I'm going off on someone it is usually not without reason.

DoylesRoom does store hand history -- not sure if it includes chat commentary a la FTP -- on my computer so I will review what I said and to who, if that information is there.

A lot of people here have played with and against me many times before and know that I am not exactly a pitbull at the table. So, provisionally, if I did hurt anyone's feelings I apologize, pending review.[/FONT]

[FONT="Franklin Gothic Medium"]OK. I have reviewed my HH file for that game and while, as I suspected, it does not include the chat comments I did look at the game action and memories started returning. . .

And, based on those memories, I am now issuing an unconditional and open apology to the offended member, the rest of the players at the table and ixgames. I did go way over the line and am sorry for my poor behavior during the game.

If ixgames does wish to apply a penalty of any sort for my actions I am man enough to take my punishment.[/FONT]

although the remarks were uncalled for-
the message was sent, received, acknowledged & rectified

this is a players forum
and we should be able to police our own
we live & learn - it's an ongoing process


steve, came right up to the plate
did not waiver a bit
did not try to sidestep the issue
admitted to the offense
& took the appropriate action himself :thumbsup

Even though I feel atacking comments should not be used, especialy in ix games. I think most if not ALL rooms you have the ability to BLOCK CHAT. Most you have the ability to block chat just of a single person. To me it should have been a non issue.
