Hi idlepick, In probability theory and intertemporal portfolio choice, the Kelly criterion, Kelly strategy, Kelly formula, or Kelly bet, is a formula used to determine the optimal size of a series of bets. In most gambling scenarios, and some investing scenarios under some simplifying assumptions, the Kelly strategy will do better than any essentially different strategy in the long run. For more info try to use Wikipedia.

Hi idlepick, I will try to explain:

The Kelly Criterion formula is: (bp-q)/b

B = the Decimal odds -1
P = the probability of success
Q = the probability of failure (i.e. 1-p)

Using a coin as an example of Kelly Criterion staking

For example, consider you are betting on a coin to land on heads at 2.00. However, the coin is biased and has a 52% chance of ending up on heads.

In this case:

P= 0.52
Q = 1-0.52 = 0.48
B = 2-1 = 1.

This works out at: (0.52x1 – 0.48) / 1 = 0.04

Therefore the Kelly Criterion would recommend you bet 4% - a positive percentage implies an edge in your favour - of your bankroll so your funds grow exponentially.

Thanks for the explanation, it's looks good, I will try it!

I don't use any strategy, I just place on that bet which I think is very reliable.

If we talk just about bet, i always choose home young player, to win a set or a match versus older player - but not always there are some thing. - Young player must be talented, motivated - depends on Qualification or WC, old player must be not motivated, maybe injured not long ago.. so little thing, you must know to bet on young player with good odds
