Americans to Obama: LEGALIZE IT!

In the U.S., the big news over the past week is the fact that the White House's Citizen's Briefing Book lists the legalization of Internet poker high on the list of Americans' priorities. What's more, an increasing number of commentators from all across the political spectrum are making the same demand. If they're not for personal freedoms, they're for the increased revenue taxed gambling will produce. Either way, it's great to see so many pundits come to the aid of the online gambling industry. And the really good news is that Obama is the type of president who's likely to listen to these voices.

Democratic Representative Barney Frank plans to move the gambling bill through his committee before the Congressional break in August. (In favor of legalizing online gambling).

As a result of a complaint filed by the Remote Gambling Association (RGA), the European Commission has found the United States to be in violation of its World Trade Organization (WTO) obligations due to its stance on internet gambling.
