Online gambling is banned in Poland but the people of the country pay no real attention to the ban and things are about to change in a big way. Despite the Governments ban on online gambling, it seems the population has decided to increase how much they visit online gaming sites. Increasing numbers of gamblers in the country has pushed the Polish Government to more extreme measures. The law enforcement has decide to make an amendment in December of this year to make it possible to prosecute anyone using online gambling sites or sites that advertise online gambling.

This means they may be arrested and incarcerated for gambling on the internet, which is an extreme measure for illegal online gambling. It seems the Poles have spent over 3.2 billion gambling online in 2009, which is 50% more than what was spent in street casinos and betting shops. Therefore, its obvious that online gambling is growing quickly in Poland and this is the way the government thinks it will foil the industry in their country, by going after the players.

Online gambling was made illegal in 2009 and the Warsaw Business Journal reported that Poles have gambled Zloty 4 Billion by the end of 2010, which is 20% more than last year when it was still legal! So online gambling is growing in popularity and the government is not happy about this at all.

James Bond hunka man meat Daniel Craig has reportedly been wooing the (now former) long-time girlfriend of famed director Darren Aronofsky.

Forty-year-old Rachel Weisz, who starred alongside Brendan Fraiser in The Mummy and was also in The Constant Gardener as well as The Lovely Bones, has been with 41-year-old Aronofsky, who directed The Wrestler, for nine years. They have a four-year-old son together whom they plan to seek joint custody of.

Reps for the former couple tell TMZ, "Rachel Weisz and Darren Aronofsky have been separated for some months. They remain close friends and are committed to raising their son together in NYC."

However TMZ is reporting that Rachel has been involved with Craig for months. The duo met while working together on the movie, Dream House. As for Craig, he's been linked to girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell, who he has been with since 2005. What do you think? Has there been a scandalous overlap in relationships? Do you think Daniel wooed Rachel right out of her relationship with Darren?

Caitlin Burke, the 26-year-old woman who managed to solve a seven-word-puzzle on the Wheel of Fortune game show with just one letter visible has caused an internet sensation. So how did the Wheel prodigy go about solving “I’ve Got a Good Feeling About This” puzzle? The story revealed.

All she had was the letter ‘L’ an apostrophe and the clue letting her know that it was a phrase to be solved and within seconds, the Wheel of Fortune master solved the puzzle winning a mere $900 but with a nice Caribbean vacation to go with it.

You can only imagine host Pat Sajack’s expression – the man was dumbfounded by the solve. You’ll have to watch the video to get the full effect but according to Sajack, 'Is it just me or was that the most amazing solve we've ever had?'

It was pretty amazing and according to Access Hollywood, her success was due to “Just years of practicing and watching.” Well, she must have been doing a lot of watching or maybe after so many years, do they repeat the puzzles to be solved?

There were instant reactions to the whole thing being rigged but according to Burke, there was absolutely no way this could have happened. She told the “Early Show”, “Anyone who has ever been on the show would know that there’s no way.”

The woman has a gift which will be taking her all the way to the Caribbean! While Bodog players may share a similar gift of wisdom or just plain luck, many of them put their skills to the test everyday with our exciting sports props as well as American Idol betting options.

An estimated 86,000 adult Quebecers spend an average of $9,903 apiece each year gambling on the Internet.

That's what an independent academic study released yesterday concluded -as Loto-Quebec ramps up preparations to launch its own brand of online gambling before Christmas to compete with a plethora of offshore and unregulated sites.

Quebec's online bettors are largely unmarried males under age 44 with much more pronounced penchant for puffing pot than other gamblers, the study indicated.

Gamblers who avoid online wagering spend a far lower average of $527 annually, added the first phase of the large-scale, provincially financed report. Results are based on a telephone survey of 11,888 Quebecers during summer 2009, with interviews lasting 12 minutes each. Almost one-third of online gamblers -32.9 per cent -identified themselves as cannabis users. That compares with 11.3 per cent of gamblers who don't play online but also reported a pot habit.

"There is significantly higher spending by people who are gambling online, this is a fact," said Sylvia Kairouz, a Concordia University professor and director of the university's Lifestyle and Addiction Research Laboratory. She co-led the study.

"We have to really monitor how things will be evolving over the next years," she said. "We shouldn't

make an inference about what will be the trend."

Median annual spending by Internet gamblers -the mid-point, where half of those responding say they spend less and half report spending more -came to $856, the study concluded. In comparison, the median for bettors who stayed completely away from Internet gambling sites was $128.

The eyebrow-raising average outlay approaching $10,000 is so dramatically higher than the median "because a few online gamblers are very big spenders," said Kairouz, adding that "this may distort the estimation."

About seven of every 10 Quebec adults gamble, at an annual average of $713 each. As with online gambling, the median or halfway point is a far lower $132.

Loto-Quebec's venture into online gambling is on track for a pre-Christmas marketing campaign. "We haven't set a date," said Jean-Pierre Roy, a Loto-Quebec spokesperson. He took the opportunity to note the study's conclusion that the percentage of adult Quebecers at moderate risk of developing a gambling problem appears more or less stable, within statistical bounds of uncertainty, at some 81,000 or 1.3 per cent.

Kairouz said that "maybe there's been a slight increase" in that category from 2002 -"but it's not statistically significant for now."

Close to another 41,000 Quebecers, or 0.7 per cent, she added, can be considered pathological gamblers. The 2002 study used a different methodology and put that proportion at a slightly higher 0.8 per cent, she noted.

Just over three of every five Internet gamblers, 60.5 per cent, play online poker, the study concluded, with online sports betting next at 14.7 per cent.

The report is the first to be released as part of a five-year, $500,000 study to run to 2014, with a followup survey planned for 2012. Findings will be used to support recommendations for prevention and treatment of gambling problems.

After a two year slump that had Las Vegas casinos despairing that they’d ever see a turnaround of fortune, it was reported this week that gambling revenue on the Strip rose by 2.8% in September. Revenue rose from $506.4 million in September 2009 to $520.6 million in September 2010. In the first nine months of 2010, casino proceeds increased 4.3% overall, said the Nevada Gaming Control Board this week.

Las Vegas gambling tycoons have been expressing cautious optimism that things are looking up for the Gaming Capital of the World. Last week, the CEO of Wynn Resorts, Steve Wynn said: “We’ve seen the bottom in Las Vegas. I don’t know how fast it’s going to get better, but I don’t think it’s going to get any worse.”

This could be seen through quarterly results posted by three of the top gambling groups with a presence in Vegas, Wynn Resort, Las Vegas Sands Corp and MGM Resorts International. This was the second consecutive month of increased wins in Vegas.

The Gaming Control Board said that baccarat as well as sports betting helped casinos register growth in gross wins. According to the press release put out, there has been an increase in statewide gaming win (before taxes and business expenses) to $917.8 million.

Roger Federer is caught up in a gambling scandal involving a member of a sports company IMG that represents the tennis superstar.

The 16-time Grand Slam champion Federer, whose name is part of a lawsuit involving IMG chairman Ted Forstmann, asked the latter to provide a detailed explanation of why he is alleged to have used information from Federer to change his betting patterns, the New York Times reported.

Federer told the Times he contacted Forstmann after learning of a lawsuit against the IMG CEO, who is being sued in Los Angeles County Superior Court by Agate Printing Inc. for fraud, interference with contract and breach of contract.

“I reached out and told him I want to know everything about it, how this came about,” Federer, who is in Paris for this week’s BNP Paribas Masters event, told the Times. “And he’s been, you know, nice enough obviously to tell me from his side and has been very open in the press already. So that’s O.K.”

”He’s not my agent. Tony (Godsick) is my guy, but still, it’s a firm that does a lot in sports, so it’s just something that for me is important to know what is going on from their side, too,” the Swiss master added.

In the lawsuit, Agate accuses Forstmann of using alleged inside information from Federer to increase a wager on the 2007 men’s singles final at the French Open.

Agate’s executive Jim Agate claims to have acted as a conduit for Forstmann's gambling.

Federer, who lost the 2007 French Open finale against arch-rival Rafael Nadal, has denied any involvement with gambling, including the alleged high-stakes betting involving Forstmann.

Forstmann for his part acknowledged betting on Federer and gambling on sports in general. He, however, denied Agate’s claims that he hiked bets on Federer after conferring with the player.

"I might have called Roger before the match in 2007," Forstmann told the website The Daily Beast. "But Roger is a buddy of mine, and all I would be doing is wishing him luck," the Times reported.

Players are barred from betting on Grand Slam matches, but there are no rules prohibiting agents or other members of a player’s entourage from betting on tennis.

News came through the grapevine today that pop singer, Pink is preggers. According to sources, the 31-year-old singer Pink is 12 weeks pregnant and is expecting this child with her 35-year-old motocross-racing-husband, Carey Hart. Now this is the second claim this year that the singer is expecting after reports back in April falsely reported she was pregnant. Did Hollywood sources get it right this time?

According to US Weekly, the singer planned the pregnancy to occur in between tours which gives her time to relax and enjoy this time with her husband. The news comes in light of their 2008 separation after the couple reported that the relationship just wasn’t working out. Months later, the couple reunited after Carey’s brother passed away in motocross accident which eventually led to their reconciliation. After six months of dating and marriage counseling, the couple slowly got back together.

Sources told US Magazine that Pink was determined to make the relationship work and feels she’ll make an excellent mother. While this may be true, we remember the comments she made last week that she believes “I think parents need to beat the crap out of their kids. I think the whole spanking thing and how it’s gotten all PC," she told Access Hollywood. While she was talking about her own childhood and how her parents spanking her taught her a lesson, this kid can expect a whole lot of tough love.

House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo, an ardent supporter of expanded gambling who led this summer’s unsuccessful drive to legalize slot parlors and casinos, said yesterday that the issue is no longer at the top of his agenda. In a brief interview, DeLeo said he is focused instead on closing the state’s projected budget shortfall and reducing health care costs when the Legislature reconvenes in January.

Gambling “will be one of the items we’ll take a look at, [but] I think more immediately the issues of the health care debate and the budget really are going to require our attention,’’ he said, after speaking at a Veterans’ Day ceremony in his hometown of Winthrop.

The comments from DeLeo, who has fought to legalize slot machines at racetracks since entering the Legislature in 1991, suggested that Beacon Hill’s enthusiasm for expanded gambling may be waning after a showdown with Governor Deval Patrick on the issue ended in finger-pointing and acrimony in July.

Patrick, a casino supporter, told the Globe last week that he is not inclined to pursue gambling again in his second term. DeLeo seemed to agree that the issue may be shelved as the state faces an estimated $2 billion budget gap and persistent complaints about the escalating cost of health care.

“I think we’ve got some other issues we have to come out right at the beginning with,’’ he said.

Senate President Therese Murray declined, through her aides, to comment on her priorities for the coming year.

DeLeo, a Democrat, also spoke for the first time about the results of this month’s election, in which the Republican Party succeeded in ousting a dozen House Democrats and more than doubling, from 15 to 32, the number of seats it controls in the 160-member chamber.

The GOP’s inroads into the House were one of the party’s few bright spots in an election in which Democrats maintained control of every statewide office and congressional seat.

But DeLeo downplayed the result, saying he did not view the Republican victories as a rebuke to his leadership or a desire by voters for a new direction on Beacon Hill.

“We knew that we had a lot of difficult races out there, and, in actuality, we probably did a little better than could have been expected,’’ said DeLeo, whose political action committee spent $235,466, by Oct. 15, to reelect House Democrats.

“The results have shown that, quite frankly, in those areas where Charlie Baker won, those are the areas we had our problems, certain pockets of the state,’’ DeLeo said.

In addition, several of the House Democrats who lost their seats were dissidents who had questioned DeLeo’s leadership style and demanded greater openness and accountability.

DeLeo said he has met already with several of the newly elected House Republicans and they “pledged that they want to work together and get things done.’’

“It’s going to make for a little more lively debate, but the thing folks have to realize is we still have close to 130, 131 members,’’ DeLeo said, acknowledging that some of the Democrats who lost are considering recounts. “We’re still in good shape.’’

DeLeo’s comments on gambling were significant because of the major role he played this summer in shepherding to the governor’s desk a bill that would have legalized three Las Vegas-style casinos and a pair of slot parlors at the state’s racetracks.

A track worker’s son whose district includes the recently closed Wonderland Greyhound Park in Revere and the struggling Suffolk Downs racetrack in East Boston, DeLeo was incensed when the governor rejected the measure and demanded that lawmakers strip out the licenses for slot parlors at the tracks, calling them “no-bid contracts’’ for special interests.

DeLeo, who did not ask lawmakers to consider the governor’s changes, said yesterday that he was “disappointed with the way it ended.’’

But he seemed to echo Patrick, who said last week that the state must focus next year on education, health care, and job creation and not casino gambling, because, Patrick said, “all the air goes out’’ of Beacon Hill when the issue is considered and “nothing else happens.’’

DeLeo said he appreciated the governor’s comments.

“Obviously — surprise, surprise — the budget is going to be front and center as the major topic, and I think health care reform is going to be an issue we have to address,’’ DeLeo said.

The Sri Lankan parliament has passed legislation to legalise gambling, saying it will help attract tourists following the end of the decades-long civil war.

Casinos and betting agencies will have to obtain a licence, to come into effect in 2012, or face a fine of up to $US45,000 or a jail term of up to five years. Designated zones for gambling will be set up, the government said.

However, the opposition United National Party objected to the new law, saying it would encourage other vices, such as prostitution.
Advertisement: Story continues below

''The government is trying to legalise an illegal activity,'' a United National MP , Joseph Michael Perera, said. ''Prostitution is legal in some countries, so is the government going to legalise prostitution as well?''

The government said the law only legalises activities, such as betting on horse races, that already take place in the country.

''The casinos will help to attract more foreign tourists to the country,'' the Deputy Finance Minister, Sarath Amunugama, said.

Tonight is a big night for Latin-American artists who are coming together tonight at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas for one of the hippest shows of the year, the 11th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. So whether you’re a fan of bootie-shacking salsa music or Mexican pop-rock, top artists will be put to the test tonight to compete for a Latin Grammy award.

Fans of Latino artists can watch the show through the Spanish channel Univision and can also expect to watch it streamed live via the Internet.

For those who may have heard a few Spanish pop songs they’ve enjoyed, most likely you’ll be able to catch those artists tonight during the broadcast but tonight’s show does really include a mixed bag of artists ranging from world-renowned tenor Placido Domingo, who will be presented with a Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year award, all the way to up and coming artists such as Cuban singer Alex Cuba and Mexican rockers Camila. You can also expect nominations of legendary artists such as Juan Luis Guerra from the Dominican Republic as well as Spanish heart-throb (or at least he used to be) Alejandro Sanz. More mainstream stars such as Enrique Iglesias, Mark Anthony and Ricky Martin are also expected to attend.

It’s pretty amazing to have artists from so many different Latin American countries all in one room who despite some of their turbulent political backgrounds can come together tonight to celebrate their love for music. Good luck to all of tonight’s nominees.

Last night was a big night for Tina Fey, the 40-year-old comedian who has been using her uniquely awkward sense of humor to make us laugh with 30 Rock and her hilarious Saturday Night Live skits. She was awarded with the Mark Twain Prize for humor last night at the Kennedy Center in Washington where she shared the night with her many partners in crime including Amy Poehler, Seth Meyers and Steve Carrell.

This award was quite an honor for the comedic writer/producer who became known to the world for her uncanny impersonation of Alaskan Governor and former presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. “I can see Russia from my house.” I am sure you all remember that one.

This night was a great honor for Fey who is the youngest recipient to date, old fogies who have been in the business much longer than Tina generally receive this award. Past winners of the Mark Twain Prize include Steve Martin, Betty White and Whoopi Goldberg.

"I never thought I'd ever qualify for the Mark Twain prize. … Maybe the Judy Blume prize for awkward puberty," Fey told CBS.

CBS News reported that Seth Meyers, her fellow cast mate on SNL, said that Fey won the prize because “she is the only woman in comedy to wear as much tweed as Mark Twain.”

It was a great night for Fey who according to Amy Poehler told CBS that, “she’s the ultimate kind of lady right now in comedy.”

That’s true, with her writing, producing and starring in her hit show “30 Rock”, the woman is unstoppable.

Most of us know Las Vegas to be a playground for adults where anything goes and that includes smoking just about anywhere your little heart desires. With the world honing in on the creation of smoke-free areas, Las Vegas casino owners feel that smoking in Las Vegas is a freedom that their customers enjoy and have no plans of jumping on the smoke-free bandwagon.

According to UPI, Las Vegas residents voted on an anti-gambling legislation that would tackle smoking issues but it seems that casinos somehow found a way to squeeze their way out of that one. While some casinos do offer smoke-free slot machine and table game areas including The Bellagio, The Mirage, and The MGM Grand many other casinos focus on pumping out on recycling the air and pumping out the smoke. While these casino’s efforts may show that they are taking a step toward keeping the air clean, it’s not nearly enough especially for the employees of the casinos who have to put up with the second hand smoke around the clock.

There’s currently a $5 million federal class action lawsuit against Wynn Las Vegas which was put into place by blackjack dealers who work the floor and are seeking some sort of protection from long term exposure to the smoky air. UPI also stated that the best their lawyers will probably be able to do for them is to help them put into place better air purification systems but this remains to be seen since the case is still active.

It’s truly a David and Goliath type battle unless the government decides to step in but good luck with that. Anything that will hurt revenues right now will probably be off the table for a long time and Las Vegas wouldn’t be able to stand taking a hit as far as their image is concerned for being an adult playground.

Pauly D, who has taken to DJing, is currently “in talks” to open for the NKOTBSB tour (that’s “New Kids on the Block Back Street Boys” for those confused by the long-winded acronym).

The gig doesn’t belong to Pauly D yet, however. The Jersey Shore star has a little competition in the form of former acappella boy band Boys II Men. Member them?

Reps for the tour have told TMZ, "[Pauly D] is one of many that has submitted himself to be on the tour. No opening act decisions are being made at this time."

The NKOTBSB 2011 tour kicks off this summer with the first performance scheduled for June 9, 2011 in Toronto, Canada. The four other confirmed dates include visits to Uniondale, NY, East Rutherford, NJ, Chicago, IL and Los Angeles, CA.

Pauly D has become an overnight reality TV star after MTV began filming him making out in hot tubs with chicks whilst living in a drama-fueled house lived in by a group of 20-somethings who like to refer to themselves as “guidos” and “guidettes.” Since the show became a smash hit, the kids of the show are becoming marketing juggernauts, with the popularity of Jersey Shore increasing the business of tanning salons over 22 percent across the United States, while cast members have scored book deals, product endorsements, Playboy pictorials, stints on Dancing with the Stars and some earning $25K a pop for personal appearances. It remains to be seen whether this moment in the spotlight will last more than 15 minutes, so the cast is trying to squeeze as much money as the can before its over.

Sri Lanka legalised gambling earlier this week to boost tourism amid criticism from the opposition and religious groups. The government passed the Casino Business Regulation Bill with an overwhelming majority of 81 votes in Parliament dominated by President Mahinda Rajapaksa-led
United People’s Freedom Alliance and its allies.

Gambling would now be legal in designated areas, deputy finance minister Sarath Amunugama told Parliament, adding that the new bill would ensure a central control on licensing new casinos and gambling outlets.

The Bill proposes requiring a license to set up a legalised gambling center and imposing a hefty fine of $45,000 and a five-year jail term for violators.

Following the end of the civil war in May 2009, the government has focused its attention to promote the tourism industry and the proposed legislation on gambling and betting could be seen as a measure to attract tourists to the country.

But the move has irked the opposition which said the government was attempting to convert Colombo to a city of gambling dens and the move could also give impetus to prostitution.

Christian and Buddhist leaders condemned the move.

Currently, a handful of casinos and several betting centres, function in Colombo exploiting loopholes in existing laws.

The US government continues to keep prohibition of online gambling in place in the country, meanwhile, other countries have moved towards regulating the billion dollar industry. Now, as the prohibition continues, ChiliGaming is about to show once again just how ridiculous the current US laws are.

ChiliPoker will begin pulling revenue from US online poker players sometime in 2011. The site operates as a subscription-based website, where customers can pay a monthly fee, then participate in tournaments in which cash and prizes are given out to the winners. It is something that has been tried in the past in the US, but has been mostly unsuccessful.

The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 does not criminalize online gambling. There will be no money being exchanged at the poker tables at ChiliPoker in the US, and therefore the subscription service appears to be legal under US law. It is another example of how foreign companies are still gaining revenue from US online gamblers, while not having to deal with regulations.

Representative Barney Frank has been pushing to have the UIGEA overturned. Frank believes that US citizens should have the right to gamble from their homes in they choose to do so. Frank also would like to see these gamblers protected by the government against any fraud or unhealthy practices within the industry.

The World Poker Tour has ClubWPT, a subscription-based online poker site. It is estimated that the site has over 16,000 subscriptions. That figure is low compared to the millions of Americans that are sending their money to offshore poker sites. There are some financial risks associated with online poker subscription sites.

While the WPT site has thrived, others have failed when attempting the subscriptions. Many online players enjoy playing in cash games as opposed to tournaments. The cash game players will continue to frequent sites such as Full Tilt and PokerStars. ChiliPoker, believes that their business model can work in the US.

Whether it works or not, it is yet another example of how despite current US laws, US residents will continue to find ways to gamble online. The move by ChiliPoker is another reason why Rep. Frank and other lawmakers should continue to seek changes to the current Internet gambling laws in the country.

The New Jersey Senate’s budget committee cleared a bill on Monday that will set the stage for online gambling to be legal in the state.

The bill would allow for the legalization of online casino games, such as poker, to be played within the state. A $30-million annual subsidy given by casinos in Atlantic City to state horse racing facilities would also be removed, with the mindset that the revenue gained from legalized online gambling would equal that amount.

State residents would be allowed to play the games on their computers at home, but the bill also considered implementing rooms at casinos and racetracks were people could go to play the online games.

Sen. Jeff Van Drew said the $30 million removed from the horse racing subsidy could be used for more marketing and advertising of the new “casino rooms,” bringing further business to the facilities.

If the bill passes, New Jersey would become the first state in the U.S. to legalize online casino games.

It could prove to be a very lucrative economic decision for the state, as Sen. Ray Lesniak said that full implementation of online games and legalizing online sports betting (still illegal in New Jersey and 45 other states) could bring up to $350 million per year in added state revenue.

Yes, he’s the same guy that was once the envy of many budding young men with his rock-star lifestyle which included countless groupies, drugs and parties any day of the week. Well, now at the age of 49, Neil may not be the rocker you remember because instead of rockin’ on stage he’s now rockin’ on the ice as he rehearses in Las Vegas for the upcoming series “Skating With The Stars”, which is set to aire on November 22nd on the ABC network.

Now, not only can you dance with the stars but now you can also skate with them apparently. According to the Las Vegas Sun, Neil seems to be taking this job seriously and practices up to six hours a day on the ice. As you’ve probably heard confessions from Dancing With the Stars contestants, preparing for the show is no easy feat and Vince can definitely attest to that.

Other stars expected to compete on Skating With the Stars include Bethenny Frankel from The Real Housewives of New York, Disney star Brandon Mychal Smith, Rebecca Budig, Jonny Moseley and actress Sean Young. Each star will be paired with a professional skater and will be expected to learn new routines week after week which will function similarly to Dancing With the Stars in that there is a weekly elimination process.

If you want to watch Neil and the rest of the crew battle it out on the ice you can catch them in a 2-hour premiere which will aire shortly after the winner of Season 11’s Dancing With the Stars is announced.

Jessica Simpson is shaking the shackles of being dumped and has finally snagged a man for the long-term. Simpson is engaged to Eric Johnson, former NFL tight end for the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints. The announcement comes just days after Simpson's ex Nick Lachey announced his engagement to Vanessa Minnillo.

A friend of Simpson's reportedly leaked the story to the press that the singer was "deeply saddened" by the engagement of her ex, but Simpson has since denied these reports, saying she "couldn't be happier" for Lachey.

Since divorcing Lachey in 2006, Simpson was linked to singer John Mayer as well as Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. During their year-and-a-half relationship, Simpson was blamed by Cowboys fans for Romo's seemingly crappier game.

Dating for just 5 months, Johnson split from his stylist wife, Keri Johnson, earlier this year, filing for divorce in February. He and Simpson hooked up in May. He proposed to Simpson with a ruby and diamond engagement ring.

"Yes, we are excited to confirm that they are engaged," Simpson's rep told E! News.

Papa Joe Simpson is apparently delighted with the news, Tweeting on Sunday night, “So very happy for Jess and Eric. May they have a lifetime of joy and happiness.”

Actor Brad Pitt is hot on the trail of the rights to the story behind the 33 Chilean miners who were dramatically rescued last month in a worldwide event that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. It is a great story and the world is dying to know how these miners, who were trapped in the depths of the earth, survived from day to day and it looks like Brad Pitt is looking for a shot to tell the story through his movie production company Plan B.

While the superstar has expressed interest in the rights of the movie, so have a slew of other production companies who are looking to bank on the story. According to Just Jarred, a lawyer in Santiago, Chile, Plan B – Brad Pitt and ex- Jennifer Aniston’s production company – has made a multi-million dollar offer for the rights of the story with a possibility for some of the miners to be cast in the film.

While Pitt’s offer may sound like an awesome deal, Just Jarred also mentioned how the miners – who are becoming superstars I may add – are receiving at least 10 offers per day. So now it just depends how these guys would like their story to be told or maybe they’ll go for the biggest payout.

At the moment, these guys are living large with multiple book deals and movie offers coming their way. There’s already a movie being released about the miners which was began production three weeks before these guys were rescued and is called “The 33 of San Jose.” While this movie is an unofficial story they say, it’s currently in distribution.
