Pamela Anderson has retraced her steps in order to collect on a promise made by an old boyfriend, real estate mogul Laurence Hallier, who she claims owes her $1 million for not following through on a Vegas condo deal back in 2006. She filed suit this week and is hoping to collect in order to take care of her own personal debts.

According to TMZ, Anderson made a deal with Hallier where she agreed to promote the Panorama Towers development in exchange for either a condo or $1 million in cash. He never paid her or offered to hand over the condo so after breaking up last year and suffering some financial troubles of her own, the girl wants to get paid.

According to the Daily Mail, she is currently living in a trailer with an ocean view with her two kids in California while she waits on her mansion to be updated. Her financial troubles are overwhelming at the moment which made her realize that she has been working for people who don’t pay for her services.

I suppose her hardship made her realize it was time to collect on those that failed to pay including her ex-boyfriend Hallier. Now Pam, was this just a verbal contract? This could be a tough one.

The US Federal Government is at it again this week with a new online payment processor being seized for allegedly processing online gambling transactions. This time the charges are coming out of Pennsylvania were the US Attorney’s office has charged 6 individuals associated with a Pennsylvania based Payment Processing Center with illegally transferring up to $44 million in online gambling funds to US gamblers from international gambling operators. The sites in question are Bodog.com, MySportsbook.com, BetOnSports.com, and Sportsbook.com.

The Charges levied at the six men include conspiracy, running an illegal gambling operation and money laundering which could carry up to 91 years in prison and fines totaling over $4.25 million. One of the six charged, Donald Hellinger is the Payment Processing Centers former leader and he has stated that all the accused plan to fight these charges. The US Attorney handling the case Zane Memeger, alleges the gambling related crimes took place between Jan. of 2005 and Feb. of 2006. The company allegedly moved funds from a company called DTX Solutions in the Caribbean to a UK based UC Safety and some other companies out of Canada. One bit of interesting information about this case is that the company itself, PPC has been out of business for over 5 years now because of another fraudulent scheme that involved them and another processor Netchex which targeted telemarketing fraud. The US Feds are just adding on some extra charges now, five years later.

There have been big gambling upsets in sports. The New York Giants beating an undefeated New England Patriots team in the Super Bowl and the 1980 USA Olympic Hockey win over the USSR come immediately to mind.

No sports upset, however, can compare to what took place on the Grammy stage Sunday evening. Esperanza Spalding pulled off one of the biggest gambling upsets of all-time when she beat out Justin Bieber and Drake. The latter two are among the most popular artists in the world today.

Spalding is a jazz singer and even the musician herself was shocked when her name was announced. It was almost a given that either Drake or Bieber would take home the award. The singer, while not well known, should not have been as big of an underdog as the sports books made her out to be.

Like the USA hockey team and the Giants, those who have watched the singer perform understood that this award was well deserved. Esmeralda has toured with Prince, and performed at the White House as recently as last year. Those within the industry consider her to be among the top young jazz musicians in the world.

The Album of the Year award provided another upset. Indie-rock group Arcade Fire took the nights top award, beating out several musical heavyweights in the process. This was not a good year for bettors who wager on what appears to be a sure thing. Many of the betting favorites went down throughout the night at the Staples Center.

Yolanda Adams was part of an opening number tribute to Aretha Franklin. Adams was joined by Florence Welsh, Martina McBride, Christina Aguilera, and Jennifer Hudson. Lady gaga again stole the show with her outrageous outfits and outlandish behavior during her live performance.

Indiana lawmakers are considering two separate bills that would relax regulations on gambling at bars and charity functions. The bills are being promoted by a coalition of non-profit organizations who say they’re frustrated by the cumbersome rules that are currently in place.

Charitable gambling has long been a part of Indiana law, and in recent years has become a big business. According to a report in the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, $539 million was wagered in charitable gambling events, including games held in bingo halls.

Bar gambling, on the other hand, is relatively new. A 2008 law allowed bars and other establishments to hold drawings, pull-tab games and other simple gambling games. According to the Journal Gazette, over 1,500 establishments hosted legal gambling last year, with a total of about $116 million being wagered there.

However, there are heavy restrictions on the gambling done in bars – the most significant of which is that bars and taverns cannot directly profit from the wagering being done. The laws were designed to get customers to come in the door and gamble for the chance to win prizes, and then make money from those same customers buying food and drinks.

One of the two new laws – Senate Bill 429 – would change that regulation to allow bars to keep a cut of the wagering done in their establishments. According to Senator Randy Head, the author of the bill, this would allow bars to better compete with private clubs that already have the right to take profits from their gambling activities.

“It creates a level playing field between private clubs and bars,” Head said.

The bill would still keep many restrictions on bar gambling; no more than $500 could be wagered, and alcohol, tobacco and cash prizes would be prohibited.

The other bill being considered is Senate Bill 340, which would remove several regulations currently placed on charity gambling operations. For instance, it would allow volunteers to sell tickets for charity gambling events; currently, only members of the charity organization are allowed to do so. Credit cards would also be permitted to be used during gambling events, as long as they are only used for non-gambling purposes. Other changes would lower the licensing fees charged to charity groups who host gambling operations.

Both bills look likely to pass; Senate Bill 429 has already passed the Senate and will move to the State House, while Bill 340 passed through committee unanimously and will move to the Senate floor next week.

Hollywood megastars Bruce Willis and Catherine Zeta-Jones are just two A-list actors who are in talks to star in a film that will focus on the memoirs of Beth Raymer about the rise of internet gambling in the late-‘90s.

Raymer was a cocktail waitress who teamed up with a number of math junkies to become major players in the online sports gambling world.

Willis is confirmed in the starring role of Dink, a gambler who’s down on his luck, while Zeta-Jones and Justin Timberlake are both rumored to have parts in the Focus Films production as well. Timberlake is said to be pegged for the role of a Long Island bookie that heads up an off-shore sportsbook.

Director Steven Frears has gone on the record to say that if the picture can land Zeta-Jones and Timberlake, or other major actors, filming would begin in April.

Ohio residents for decades turned away the financial relief that would come with allowing casino gambling in the state. Finally, casinos were approved and now residents are getting antsy waiting for the finished product.

Construction has begun at several of the locations where casinos will be built. Columbus, Cleveland, Toledo, and Cincinnati will all be receiving casinos in the next couple of years, and analysts believe this may only be the beginning of the gaming boom in Ohio.

"Once the casino ball starts rolling, it is hard to stop," said Gaming Analyst Steve Schwartz. "What will soon happen is that other cities will get sick of losing revenue to those four casino cities, and they will start to explore expanding gambling in their areas as well."

Already the rumblings have been heard of upset business owners who may lose revenue from the casinos. When new gaming facilities and entertainment destinations are built, people come from hours away to check out the excitement being generated, and that will likely lead to a drop in business at those local bars and entertainment venues.

Another reason Ohio residents are waiting patiently for the casinos are the employment opportunities. Thousands of jobs will start coming open over the next couple of years, and already the construction jobs have put Ohioans back to work. The jobs alone will help revive an economy that has struggled since the recession.

Tax revenue is expected to be in the millions, and one many in particular will be looking for some support from residents. Dan Gilbert, the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, lost out in the LeBron James sweepstakes last summer, and some Cleveland fans were upset with Gilbert and the product the Cavs have put on the court this season. Building the casino should get Gilbert back in good standing with some Cleveland fans.

Who needs advice from industry experts when you’ve got a line-up from the animal kingdom waiting to predict life’s more important events. You’ve remember Paul the psychic octopus, who managed to amaze us with his talents of predicting the success of World Cup matches? Well now that Paul has passed on, there's yet another psychic in town and her name is Heidi the cross-eyed opossum, who is scheduled to predict this year’s Oscar winners.

Yes, Heidi hails from the Leipzig Zoo in Germany where zoo keepers are priming her for her psychic debut. She is scheduled to be a guest on the “Jimmy Kimmel Show” on February 27 just before the start of the Oscars that same evening.

Why Heidi was chosen for such a duty is a bit of a mystery but I suppose someone had to attempt to fill Paul’s shoes. So far the celebrity marsupial has managed to attract over 300,000 Facebook fans and has even released her own song which you can find on You Tube.

According to the BBC, Heidi’s predictions will be recorded in Germany and will be used for the live ABC network presentation of the Oscars on February 27. Go Heidi, we’re hoping you’re as accurate as your octopus friend!!

Odds are that you will partake in a little love celebration of your own in honor of Valentine’s Day and if you should find yourself in Las Vegas then you shouldn't deny yourself of one of the unique concoctions created by local Vegas mixologists.

Yeah, you’re worth it, so why not start out by trying out a sinfully decadent creation that only comes around once a year. One bar in particular will be offering three different drinks to spice up your evening, the Tabu Ultra Lounge at the MGM Grand is offering visitors the Cupid’s Touch, Peach Kiss and the Temptation cocktail which are all meant to provide you with aphrodisiac-type qualities.

The Cupid cocktail includes a mixture of vodka, lime juice, raspberries and a slice of a Serrano chili pepper which will definitely put you in touch with your wild side. Their second cocktail is the Peach Kiss which is made with peach puree, peach vodka and lime juice for a sinfully wonderful mixture. Cocktail number three includes the Temptation cocktail which will leave anyone with that loving feeling especially because it’s made with Kai Lychee Vodka, Godiva white and dark chocolate liquor all poured into a special glass.

The Temptation cocktail my seem to top the list of best Valentine’s Day cocktails but if you’re the kind of guy/gal that has been looking for a unique way to propose to your sweetie, the Minus5 Ice Bar is offering one very special cocktail for a mere $10,000 – the Jewel of Russia Ultra martini. The ultra frozen Minus 5 ice bar is a unique experience all in itself but your partner will be in for a treat with a special frozen glass made from New Zealand water and decorated with the ultimate accessory – an engagement ring.

You may not be ready to pop the question on V-Day but if you’re in Vegas, these unique cocktails will certainly add a bit of a spice to your Valentine’s Day evening.

While the rest of the country has expanded their casino gambling industries at a record pace over the past couple of years, Texas has remained one of the states that has kept casino prohibition alive. It had been expected that one of the country's most conservative states would shy away from casinos.

In recent years, however, lawmakers have at least started to discuss the possibility of casino gambling. The economy had become so bad that even states that had traditionally turned their back on casinos, started to look at the millions in tax revenues from casinos with wide eyes.

This session, many believed that gambling had its best chance to pass, but now it looks as though it will have to wait at least one more session. State Representative Larry Taylor is now on record as saying he believes that casino gambling has little chance of passing this session. "The votes just aren't there," said Taylor.

Local areas had hoped that state lawmakers would finally change the gaming laws. If approved, casinos would bring not only hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue, but also thousands of jobs to Texas residents. The lure of the money and the jobs was thought to be a driving force behind a push to legalize casinos.

Other states such as Pennsylvania have provided the blueprint for a successful gaming industry. The only problem Pennsylvania casinos have had in the past couple of years is keeping underage gamblers off their casino floors. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has fined several casinos for allowing underage gambling.

Conservative Texas lawmakers claim that bringing casinos to the state would be socially troublesome. They cite increased crime and gambling addiction as reasons to keep prohibition alive. Lobbying groups are pushing hard for gambling legislation, but each interest group has a different idea of how gambling should be expanded.

The islands of Hawaii are in the midst of approving casino gambling, a move that is being enforced in order to recover some much needed funds. There is a bit of catch though, if you want to gamble you’ll have to board casino ships that travel between islands which means you shouldn't expect Hawaii to turn into the next Bahamas anytime soon.

According to Forbes, the bill to approve offshore gambling has been approved in one committee but it is lacking votes from two more house committees. Once the bill is fully approved, a special committee will be created to regulate all forms of gambling.

Hawaii residents have expressed some very serious concerns in regards to gambling and are worried that allowing the creation of casinos on their islands will lead to certain undesirable behavior. According to MSNBC, “The populace here loves to gamble. Hawaii by nature is a gambling community,” says a resident.

Gambling is illegal in Hawaii and to feed into the locals gambling needs, underground gambling activities have surfaced including sportsbooks, card houses, cock fights, online gambling etc. Legislators have proposed several plans which would help bring in $100 million a year but residents won’t stand for it.

They feel there is just way too much at stake and for now, offshore gambling is the best they offer tourists along with amazing beaches and scenery of course.

Just one week after mutilating the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, Christina Aguilera was ready for redemption at the 2011 Grammys. And although she remembered the lyrics this time around, the water cooler chat this morning is the stumble she took after she, along with Jennifer Hudson, Martina McBride, Florence Welch and Yolanda Adams, sang a stirring tribute to Aretha Franklin, earning a standing ovation from the crowd.

"The audience at home could hardly see it because it was shot from afar. However, everyone in the stadium did and was shocked," my backstage source tells Pop Eater's Rob Shuter. "She was acting very erratic backstage before her performance and wouldn't let anyone into her dressing room before the show began. Something is very wrong."

The rest of the Grammy show was your typical Grammy-fare: there were over-the-top outfits, huge stars and of course, Lady Gaga, who arrived in a giant egg.

It was a night of rare performances from music royalty including Mick Jagger and Barbara Streisand.

Justin Bieber shared the stage with his idol Usher and in a shocking twist, was upset for Best New Artist. Bieber was nominated for the Best New Artist prize and Best Pop Vocal Album for My World 2.0, but lost out to Esperanza Spalding and Lady Gaga.

In a post on his Twitter.com blog, Bieber writes, "Of course I wanted to win. It's been & still is a dream to win a Grammy. Was I upset… yes. But I was happy for her (Spalding) also… Someone said to me tonight it's not your successes that define u but your failures. I lost… but I don't plan on this being my last chance."

Cee Lo Green was joined by Gwenyth Paltrow who sang a G-rated duet of his hit song, along with some muppets.

Lady Antebellum walked away with Song of the Year and Record of the Year, while Lady Gaga took home three Grammys including Best Pop Vocal Album, but lost Album of the Year to Arcade Fire.

Young people are always at the forefront of new trends and it seems that online gaming is no different.

Online gaming is fun and exciting. It offers entertainment and recreation without having to leave home. All that is needed is a computer with internet, and most people these days generally have access to a computer on a regular basis. This goes even more so for the youth, who often have computers of their own. Now, it appears that young people are taking to online gambling quicker than ever before.

Most online gaming sites are reputable brands which offer games in a fair and secure environment. Likewise, responsible casino sites adhere to their national laws regarding gambling age limits, fair gaming practice and the encouragement of responsible gambling habits. Unfortunately, some less scrupulous fly by night operations have sprung up in the aim of taking advantage of underage computer users, offering them rigged games with promises of easy cash.

This has been documented in the Fraser Coast region of Queensland in Australia. Fraser Coast Lifeline has issued a warning for parents to be aware of these sites, many of which are being launched from countries such as China and Argentina. There has been a confirmed report of a student in Bundaberg who wagered $30,000 on her parent’s credit card. Lifeline’s Fraser Coast spokesperson, Rick Whittle, confirmed that the illegal sites are a major problem. He made clear that all students say that they have seen the gambling pop ups, and that many of them even went on to play.

Gaming online is indeed a highly enjoyable pastime, what with state of the art games and unparalleled rewards. However it is crucial that anyone gambling online should only ever use reputable online casinos or betting establishments, such as William Hill Casino and EuroGrand Casino. These brands guarantee the highest standards and offer a diverse range of safety mechanisms to ensure fairness and legality. Visit them today and see why they are so esteemed!

For almost five years now, the US Federal Government has been enforcing the UIGEA bill, which tries to prevent online gamblers from enjoying any type of gambling entertainment from their home. Gambling in the US is legal if visiting your local land based casino, but not from the comforts of your home which has outraged millions of gamblers. Focus groups, Senators and Gambling Associations have tried tirelessly to get the UIGEA bill repealed with no success as of yet, but there is one group of people in the United States that are being forgotten about by our Federal Government and that’s the “handicapped gambler”.

The UIGEA bill discriminates against handicap gamblers in such a way that they have been totally left out in the cold concerning their gambling rights and their freedom to enjoy gambling entertainment like the next person. Wheel chair bound people; people on oxygen, people who are too weak or ill to leave their homes but still enjoy life have no choice but to forget about enjoying themselves at the slot machines or table games like millions of other gamblers enjoy. When the Federal Government passed the unfair online gambling bill, making it illegal to fund any online gaming site through any US financial institution they neglected to take into consideration the rights of the home-bound. What about their rights? Why punish those who suffer with illness or mobility issues without even considering their wants or needs?

Online gambling for the home-bound is a luxury that they deserve if they so choose. It should be fine that they are able to sit in their homes and have the same type of entertainment that healthy Americans enjoy when visiting land based casinos. The US neglected this whole group of Americans when they started their campaign to prevent US citizens from gambling in the safety of their home without a second thought and its time someone should address this group of people and their rights!

The story of Milli Vanilli, the 80’s German pop band that was brought to shame after it was discovered that the two members were not the real singers of their band but were merely lip-synchers who helped develop its image, is coming to a theater near you. After winning a Grammy award in 1990, the two were forced to return the award and would never really recover from their downfall. Looking for a recap? Not to worry because the whole story is set to be retold from frontman, Morvan’s point of view. It should be good.

The band, Milli Vanilli was comprised of Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus who came together due to German record producer Frank Farian, who helped these two rise to the top with hits such as, “Blame It On the Rain” and “Girl You Know It’s True”. These two were flying high up until a live performance on MTV in 1989, where the recording they were using skipped and it became incredibly clear that the two were not the ones singing. Oops! After the incident the two ran off the stage and the truth was out.

In 1990, the group was awarded a Grammy for “Best New Artist” which was revoked shortly after the real story broke out. The band were attempted to release their own album revealing their true voices in 1998 but their attempt failed due to financial issues as well as many personal problems that surfaced for Rob Pilatus who eventually overdosed and died in 1998.

The story has some bones to it but now it’s up to German director, Florian Gallenberger bring the story to life together with support from ex-Milli Vanilli member Fab Morivan, who will act as a consultant. Will this movie help Fab rise from the ashes after a 20-year absence?

People could soon be able to gamble online with companies based in Jersey.

The States of Jersey have agreed regulations to allow internet firms to be licensed in the island.

The economic development minister, Senator Alan Maclean, said it was an important opportunity for the island.

St John Deputy Phil Rondel was worried about those who may become addicted to gambling and whether Jersey would have to help them.

The proposal was passed with 38 members voting in favour, four against and one abstaining.

Those Vanilli guys were unfairly vanillified, I mean vilified. A lot of 'recording artists' don't have a ton of talent - they're just faces. And this was an extreme example of that. Even if those guys had talent, it simply wasn't showcased in the two songs that made them famous. The public didn't know it right away, and nearly hanged them when it became news. Lip-synching in general was exposed by this scandal, which still resonates today, sort of. Personally I think 'Blame it on the Rain' and 'Girl You Know It's True' were, at that time, actually a couple of badass songs, even if they were recorded by Frankenstein in somebody's basement studio.

I hope NJ develops a good sytem,so perhaps other states will take notice and follow suit. The biggest problem will be preventing underage people from depositing with their parents credit cards. If they are successful at this,it will be a great boost for the entire industry.

Durban - Online gambling, which is illegal in South Africa, was on the increase, the National Gambling Board (NG😎 said on Wednesday.

"The NGB has identified an increase in the number of illegal online gambling operations nationally," said CEO Baby Tyawa.

She said online gambling was illegal in South Africa and there were no lawfully licensed online gambling operators or service providers in South Africa.

"The pending court litigation between South African regulators and Piggs Peak Casino does not change the law as it applies nor render online gambling activities legal to operate in this country," she said.

Anyone found operating online gambling would be fined R10m or 10 years' imprisonment or both, she said.
