The online gambling company Bodog are applying for a UK operating licence. Founder and face of the Bodog brand, Calvin Ayre - told a newspaper in an interview that a UK licence, should it be granted, would not necessarily be used to take UK bets – they can already do that.

Bodog, which operates out of Costa Rica, is probably the most well-known company that continue to take bets from the US.

So does Germany's laws make it illegal to gamble while in Germany, on a site that's located somewhere other than Germany?

I realize they'll probably deal with that eventually if they haven't already. It reminds me of some otherwise illegal MP3 downloading sites trying to operate in countries that hadn't caught up to digital rights management.

The European Commission has launched investigations into German prohibitions on online gambling and requested further information over concerns that they are restricting free trade.

Germany introduced a new treaty last month banning online gaming and betting except wagers on horse racing, replacing a law already the subject of enquiries, and the Commission is querying whether this law is consistent with the principles of free trade within the European Union.

Please note that online casinos using Microgaming casino software accept US players except for the following 11 states: Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington and Wisconsin.

(Bodog Casino is powered by Real Time Gaming software and is one of the few casinos that accepts US players from all states).

Online Casino comp points are designed to reward casino players for their loyalty, and are not transferable from casino to casino. Comp points can usually be exchanged for cash, prizes, or other thinks.

True

Things is, they have to be rolled over a certain amount of times if you want to cash them out. And in many places you can not even do that, but you can trade them for different Objects. (Promo T-shirts, mugs, etc.)

Yes Ricardo. If you select Wire transfer for receiving the balance of your winnings, you will be asked to send further information such as account name and number, bank name and address, Swift Code or ABA Number, etc....

I only hear that more than 23,000 fans - (the largest soccer crowd in Hawaiian history) - showed up at Aloha Stadium to watch the PPC final.
