The tax levied on the online gambling would be decreased, sources from Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CED😎 said for Bulgaria on AIR.
It is expected the 15% tax that is applied on all gambling operators in Bulgaria to be cut by two and to reach 6 or 8 % as in many other European countries. The motive for the tax decrease is that the returns of the stakes exceed 95%. “Thus no foreign operator would come to Bulgaria, because the taxation would be very high. In practice the tax in Bulgaria is twice bigger that in France or Malta”, the source from the Parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee commented.

The fate of online gambling in America has been harsh.

First, when online casinos started operating in the Land of the Free, the industry expected to profit handsomely. Then, the Unlawful Gambling Act in 2006 destroyed the online betting in the United States as international casino news report.

Some offshore sites were still able to operate. But, the law, which once let them do business, turned upside down in a manic depressive way, and went on cracking down with full force. The American poker sites such as PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker were shot down and owners charged with felony counts.

Even recently, the US government has cracked down on Bodog, an online casino which offers multiple games such Internet blackjack. Bodog’s site in the United States has been seized, although its international branches still operate.

It’s very hard to be in two places at once especially if those events are on opposite sides of the planet. It’s a difficult choice to attend the iGaming Super Show in Dublin Ireland on May 22nd through 25th or the G2E Asia in Macau from May 22nd to 24th 2012. Both conferences and shows offer a great deal of knowledge for the gambling industry professional.

Senate President John Cullerton says it's crucial that lawmakers approve his plan to regulate Internet gambling in Illinois by the end of this month.

The framework, the Chicago Democrat said, would position Illinois as a worldwide Internet gaming hub.

But, he said, Illinois lawmakers must move quickly because Congress is considering legislation that would only allow states that already have a framework in place to offer Internet gaming.

"We estimate that the potential new revenues to the state are in the hundreds of millions of dollars," Cullerton said in a letter to the state's top lawmakers this week.

A number of states are now poised to let their residents gamble online in games of chance. With a few thumb punches on a smart phone, someone could wager a bet in a poker match as easily as texting a message – only with a predictable loss of money.

For all the brouhaha over proposals to allow video slot machines in New Hampshire, you would think you couldn't find one here. But there are more than 100 video gambling machines in places such as Portsmouth, Seabrook, Dover and Hampton Beach. The operators call them sweepstakes games, and, by doing that, they fall into a gray zone of government oversight.

The state Senate is expected to vote today or Thursday on a bill to close that loophole and either ban the machines outright or put them on a path to regulation. Similar moves are under way in Ohio, Florida, Massachusetts and other states, where this form of gaming has taken hold.

Creator Simon Cowell has finally filled one major role heading into the second season of the United States’ The X Factor as he had to replace Paula Abdul and Nicole Schwerzinger as judges, and has been looking far and wide for personalities to join Cowell and L.A. Reid on the panel. It looks as though he has found what he is looking for with a pair of signings.

Britney Spears has long been rumored to be the next big-name guest and she finally made it official on Monday in New York. The platinum pop artist who has stayed in the limelight for a number of reasons signed a one-year deal worth $15 million as Cowell tries to make a huge splash in an industry that is known for its star power; all he has to do is look at The Voice with Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as judges/coaches, or his former show, American Idol, who brought on Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Jimmy Iovine to replace Cowell and Abdul. No matter what you think of her music, Spears has a lot of faithful fans that will tune into The X Factor to see what she does, and Cowell definitely took that into account.

Female EVEN

But Spears wasn’t the only signing as Demi Lovato has joined the cast as now, leaving Cowell only to replace host Steve Jones. Lovato is known as a Disney star and at 19 years old, she is still very young. But she is looking to make the transition from a teen star to an adult celebrity and this is her first step; she can probably learn a thing or two from Spears as to what not to do when in the spotlight.

Illinois should move quickly to establish itself as an international leader in online poker and other types of Internet gambling, state Senate President John Cullerton said Tuesday, claiming the payoff could amount to hundreds of millions of dollars.

The Chicago Democrat is introducing legislation that would create a Division of Internet Gaming within the state lottery. Under his proposal, that new division would make Illinois the first state to jump into the world of online gambling. Illinois is already the first to sell lottery tickets online.

When will the floodgates open? It feels like an eternity that the casino industry and makers of games like Zynga Poker have been waiting for states to flip a legal switch that will let them turn virtual gaming into real gambling.

The legal logjam could finally break in coming months as some states prepare to turn on the taps for new forms of gambling based on social media.

Nevada has already passed a law and New Jersey is likely to follow soon, according to Pillsbury lawyer Jim Gatto. He adds that Hawaii and California are also considering bills to legalize online gambling.

Right now, the status of online gambling in the U.S. is a no-man’s land. It was considered illegal for years under federal law but the Justice Department last year issued a green light memo. The memo gives the go-ahead for gambling so long as the state allows it, the betting takes place within state borders and no sports betting is involved.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has backed out of a scheduled speech Thursday at the East Coast Gaming Congress, leaving many in the state wondering whether his rumored consideration for the vice presidential spot on the Republican ticket may have played a role.

Christie press secretary Michael Drewniak said the cancellation was nothing more than “a scheduling conflict and change,” according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. But the newspaper noted that some analysts believe it may have had more to do with his political ambitions and concerns about bucking public opinion.

The decision came to withdraw from the speech shortly before a new Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind Poll was released showing that most New Jersey residents oppose online gambling based in Atlantic City, where the governor has focused considerable attention on reinvigorating the economy through the gaming industry.

BETTING giant Bwin.party yesterday reported revenues of €215.9m (£172.5m) for the first quarter, up less than one per cent on the same period last year.

Shares in the firm fell by five per cent after it said growth in online casino games has been partially offset by reduced margins in sports betting.

There was a shocking elimination on the 14th season of Dancing With The Stars this week as the season comes down to the final three couples. Speaking of couples, there might be a couple more surprises in store for the remaining participants.

Despite having the highest scores from the judges, Extra host Maria Menounos and partner Derek Hough were shown the door this week, as Hough missed out on the chance to become the first professional dancer to win the competition four times while Menounos is the second celebrity, behind Willa Ford, to get the hook after the judges rewarded her with the high score. Menounos also had the highest average score of any celebrity to not win a season of Dancing With The Stars; that “honor” goes to Sabrina Bryan.

That leaves Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, who is trying to win her first competition; classical singer Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas, who have been long thought of as the favorites to win it all; and Telenovela star William Levy and Cheryl Burke, who is looking to match Hough’s three victories on the show. Jenkins and Ballas actually had the lowest score among the four couples and has managed to stay in the game, while Levy had a big week and may be the favorite now.

Driver has a history of football success helping him as Emmitt Smith and Hines Ward have come in first place, while Jerry Rice, Warren Sapp and Jason Taylor have finished in second place. Driver and Murgatroyd have been very consistent throughout the season, and they’re getting more comfortable with each other, which may end up pushing them to the win on Dancing With The Stars.

The U.S. Congress is too badly divided to act on Internet gambling, so individual states will start approving it on their own within the next two years, panelists at a major casino conference predicted Thursday.

Speaking at the East Coast Gaming Congress, casino and political leaders predicted online gambling will become a reality on a state-by-state basis. New Jersey hopes to become the "Silicon Valley of Internet gambling," and its legislature is working on a bill to legalize it.

"Those who think the U.S. government will pass a law, a federal Internet gambling law, that's naive," said Richard Bronson, chairman of US Digital Gaming. "In a Congress that can't agree on what day it is, the thought that they're going to agree to put casino gambling in every living room in America is ridiculous."

A bill that aims to bring internet gambling to Delaware and to establish a network of Keno and sports betting locations around the state is drawing several concerns: the possibility of underage online betting, the increased temptation for compulsive gamblers, and the fairness of a revenue-sharing structure among Delaware’s three racinos and the horse racing industry.

Casinos were authorized in the 1990s at Dover Downs, Harrington Raceway and Delaware Park as a way to boost the struggling racetracks.

Nearly two decades later, Delaware lawmakers are prepared to engage in a debate over a proposal the casino industry says is desperately needed, the Delaware Standardbred Owners Association says is not equitable – and, according to some, endangers families by bringing gambling into homes through the computer.
