All three of the company's casinos will continue to operate as usual during the bankruptcy proceedings.

(The company has $2.06 billion in assets and more than $1.74 billion in liabilities, according to its court filing).

Online gambling is proving to be extremely popular, both in countries where gambling is legal and also where it is not. It has been reported that online gambling has become very popular in Vietnam, despite the country’s strict anti-gaming laws.

It seems that online gamblers in Vietnam are staying one step ahead of the authorities thanks to Wifi technology which allows them to place bets at any time or in any place.

Next week the report which details the findings of the investigation will be released. At that time the EU will give a grace period for President Obama and his staff to either change their own laws, or come to some sort of agreement with other countries that have legal, regulated and licensed online casino companies.

President Obama has unveiled his first concrete plan to address the country’s dire housing crisis, a $275 billion measure that could help as many as nine million homeowners avoid foreclosure and reduce mortgage payments.

Complete List of 2009 Academy Award Winners by: Bodog Beat

Penelope Cruz won Best Supporting actress after giant, long-winded introductions of each nominee that left the viewer wondering just how long this show would last. Tina Fey and Steve Martin gave a hilarious introduction to the Best Screenplay nominees. Dustin Lance Black won for Milk and offered a stirring speech about his dream for all Americans to have equal rights regardless of their sexual preferences.

The Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay went to Simon Beaufoy for Slumdog Millionaire.

Jennifer Aniston and Jack Black presented the Oscar to Andrew Stanton for Best Animated Feature Film for Wall-E, while Best Animated Short Film went to Kunio Katô for La Maison En Petits Cubes.

Sarah Jessica Parker (along with her giant, pushed-up boobies) and Daniel Craig gave out the award for Best Art Direction, which was snagged by Donald Graham Burt and Victor J. Zolfo for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The award for Best Costume Design went to Michael O'Connor for The Duchess. The Oscar for Makeup went to Greg Cannom for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Natalie Portman and a Joaquin Phoenix-esque Ben Stiller presented the award for Cinematography. As Portman announced the nominees, Stiller chewed gum and wandered on stage. They eventually awarded to Anthony Dod Mantle for Slumdog Millionaire with the Oscar.

The Oscar for Best Short Film went to Jochen Alexander Freydank for Spieltzeugland.

Like the Supporting Actress award, the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor also came with pomp, circumstance and a lot of ass kissing. Let's not forget these people are actors.

However, the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor went to Heath Ledger for The Dark Knight. It was accepted on his behalf by his mother, father and sister.

Bill Maher presented the Oscar for Best Documentary to James Marsh and Simon Chinn for Man on Wire. The Oscar for Best Short Documentary went to Megan Mylan for Smile Pinki. Best Visual Effects was presented by Will Smith and went to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The award for Sound Editing went to Richard King for The Dark Knight. The Oscar for Sound Mixing went to the Ian Tapp, Richard Pryke and Resul Pookutty for Slumdog Millionaire. Chris Dickens was the winner for Film Editing for Slumdog Millionaire.

Slumdog Millionaire picked up another two Oscars which went to A.R. Rahman for Best Original Score as well as Best Original song, "Jai Ho." Japanese film Departures won for Best Foreign Film, which was directed by Yojiro Takita.

Now for the Big Kahuna's: Danny Boyle earned Best Director for Slumdog Millionaire. And - the big news of the night. Sixth time was a charm for Kate Winslet, who after five Oscar losses, finally earned her prize for The Reader. She gave a heartfelt speech, asking her father to whistle so she could see him in the crowd, which he immediately did. Sean Penn got a well-deserved Actor in a leading role Oscar for his performance in Milk. AND the winner for Best Picture - Slumdog Millionaire. So it was a Slumdog sweep, folks - taking eight Oscars!

The debut of legal blackjack in Florida has led to another problem: A rise in gambling addiction. A growing number of people are calling the state's gambling help line, 888-ADMIT-IT

According to the Miami Herald, overall calls in January were up about 16-percent from a year earlier. Most of the people seeking help named blackjack as their game and not the usual suspect, poker.

Online betting site Bookmaker betters were reported to be getting $1.12 back for every $1 bet on Brown going to jail for allegedly beating Rihanna whilst when betting $1 on Brown not going to jail $2.35 would be given back. That’s -850 for Brown going to jail and +130 that he will escape jail time.

(Odds are relatively high considering Brown has only been charged with making criminal threats and not for beating Rihanna but it is believed that more charges against him are pending).

Sorry if this has been posted already, Just wondering what everyone thought of the new .01/.02 tables ftp has put up.

I used to like playing them on PS, but I love the ftp software and always wondered why they never had the concept.
These are also great for the people who place lo in the money in freerolls to maybe have a better start to building their bankrolls.

Thanks Ix, for the chances you give us

I cant say much about the new micro limit but I think this setup caters to a more wide public and may work better in the long run. Ftp is already packed with players 24/7 but it wont get worse.

The players that are used to play on 2/4 or 5/10 etc will keep on playing on their usual limits, they wont lower just because ftp launch a new micro limit.

I also believe this will be a much better start for all newbies and those wanting to learn the game from scratch.

Anyway it wont affect full tilt poker negatively.

We are doing our best to to offer players entertaining freerolls, skill and fun wise.

Thanks for the kind words (to be honest we cant get enough of positive feedback).:1orglaugh

They also added a new deposit limit of $10 for first timers.
This helps fulltilt so they don't have to match a big first deposit for there bonus.
