How is a Freeroll played vs. a real $ tourney?

Was curious as to how players approach a freeroll vs a real $ tourney.
1. Push a lot harder early in a freeroll?
2. Call with more marginal hands hope to hit big?
3. Do a lot more slow play to catch the AAWD players?
3. Sit out with a big stack for a thinning of the crowd?

I like to play a lot drawing type hands, suited connectors especially, but even any suited face card or Ace. I find that you can bet big when you hit and still get called. After first hour though, I usually start playing the way I do in a reg buy in tournament.
It also depends on how large the field is. When there is several thousand, usually there are a good amount of loose players early. I try to take advantage, though it isn't necessary to start strong. I play in bodog's 500 dollar freeroll almost every night, and when I just pretty much play the way I normally would (a little more loose and aggressive early), I usually make it past the second break. You usually need to make it past third break and sometimes the fourth to make the money. I usually get more aggressive near the bubble and get knocked out, but would rather take my chances to double up with chance to go deep as opposed to tightening up to just make the money (under 2 bucks). I've done that too often only to get blinded out right before money.

Twice, I've made it under 200 left in a >4000 freeroll only to be blinded out. still playing it too tight.

I used to play them differently, but a lot of bad habits crept in to my cash games. I'll play freerolls a little looser if there are a lot of players. Otherwise, I try to play them the same.

I've noticed that there is less "Donk play" when players risk their own money, especially at the beginning of the tourney...You don't see as many all-ins.

I'd say it depends on how much $ your talking here...obv in a freeroll there are lots more all in donks...

but in low stakes cash you get em too

play tight in cash games and looser in the freerolls....be cautious at the start of the all in donks...sometimes sitting out for the first 30 mins (ish) is not the worst idea (don't leave it too long though)
