Lots of speculations flying around Microgaming about blocking all US-based traffic. It's almost as if the current US government refuses to allow its citizens to be happy. So much for the joy of an Obama victory.

Uh, I'm officially confused now. I thought Microgaming was just banning 13 states. But I've also heard that they may ban the entire US...? Oh, Canada, you are lookin better by the minute, babe. (I think I would move if the US ever banned online gambling altogether.)

President-elect Obama and his advisers have established a website at change.gov listing their plans for governing after his inauguration. Among the programs and ideas expressed on the site is a pledge to protect the Internet from censorship and government interference, a promise which brightens the prospects for the online gambling industry.

Don'T worry be happy

That's really good news Mike, but why still Bush tries to influence what happens in the U.S is beyond me.

He should accept the transition and work with Obama until january.

There is a reason why the -bush administration- are trying to push the UIEGA regulations through so fast. They know Obama will not let them slide. Not because he is a poker player but only because they laws are just not right.

Whatever plans are in place, it appears obvious that they are not going to last long under the Obama Administration.

Protect the freedom of the Internet

Ixgames asking all Americans who feel slighted by this reckless rule making to call the U.S. Federal Reserve and ask that these regulations not be approved. The number for Consumer Complaints is 1-888-851-1920. The Public affairs number is 1-202-452-2955.
