Online Gambling Bill Gains Four New Co-Sponsors

Barney Frank is already finding that the road to Internet gambling legalization in the US may be easier this time around. On Friday, four new co-sponsors signed on to back the new Bill, bringing the total to thirty.

(President Barack Obama has not said much publicly regarding the issue, but he did have in his platform a desire to keep the Internet free from government intervention. The UIGEA is directly opposite of what President Obama is trying to accomplish).

According to a press release issued yesterday, Barney Frank's Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act (H.R. 2267) now has 50 co-sponsors in Congress.

(There are also a few Republicans that support the bill as well. They include the likes of Peter King and Ron Paul) 😄
