So what are gift cards exactly?

They are debit cards that are accepted in millions of locations around the world - including from what we can tell, online casinos and poker rooms. Gamblers are simply purchasing the cards for themselves, then using them like debit cards or ATMs. If you don't like buying them online and waiting a few days for your giftcards to arrive, these can actually be purchased at your local drug store such as Walgreens.

Certainly a good idea and something I can see becoming extremely popular. It make sit even more of a nonesense what the new laws are trying to achieve.

These are definitely going to become a lot more popular with those in the states who want to gamble online. I think that a lot more people are going to want to purchase these so that they can safely gamble online.

There must be a catch surely? It can't be that easy when they have gone to so much trouble to make it hard via neteller. Do they charge a commision at all on the cards purchased at the stores?

Most gift cards have a $500 cap. There is a 3% vig for a $500 giftcard (or a cost of $15).

This is perfect for online gambling.

3% doesn't sound that much really, especially if it means that there is only a little change to carrying on as before.

I don't think that 3% is much to lose in order to be able to gamble when you'll probably lose a lot more once you have gambled. I'm definitely going to have to look into this option for myself.
