Or are you looking for something more along the lines of an "active topics" button? If you are scroll down to the bottom of the main index page and you'll see the last 10 -- I think it's 10 -- updated topics. . .

The whole process of refreshing a page is mainly related with your browser. I see you are using internet explorer but why is that not enough ?

Yep refresh in IE will do....but more along the lines of what steve said is what i was thinking so that's OK....
