I signed up to play after getting $20 free. The first game I played was a 2 player 75 cent tourney. The prize for winning said tournament was $1.10; so right off the top they took 40cents or almost 30%. I won the tourney and when I checked my balance I was up 2 cents. The US Gov took 33cents of my winnings for taxes so I won 2cents after wagering 75cents. Now if this is not a scam then I don't know what is.

Thanks for the information, I'll definitely avoid that trap. It's hard enough just to pick winners against the spread. WorldWinner apparently has a good thing going for themselves, the odds are heavily twisted in their favor. That's not the way to do business if you're in it for the long haul.

I have been playing on worldwinner for the past 6 months and I have made my own investigation regarding how possible it is to win a tournament or game. Many times when I have had my best game ever, it's shocking to see that somebody else have managed to get 1 or 2 points more than me, this has happened many times, the longer I have played the more I can see a certain pattern in the games. I have won a few games over the past times, nothing big though, now worldwinner wants me to pay taxes on money that I have never received. It seems that I will not see any money at all from worldwinner.

Please help, what can I do ?

Is worldwinner a scam site ?
Ive played worldwinner for a couple years and have won on there more then Ive lost.BUT when end of year comes you wind up owing IRS way more money then you have won by a long shot
SO YES SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS PLACE AND YES THEY ARE A SCAM. BUT THEY GET THROUGH THE CRACKS WITH THE GOVERNMENT WITH RULES AND REGULATIONS

Has anything been happening with this scam? I want to recover my loses. I have filed complaints with the BBB and the FTC. I hope something comes of it. These people are rigging their competitions and falsifying winnings.

Others that feel World Winner is a scam needs to file complaints also. Then maybe something will be done about it.

The odds are heavily twisted in worldwinners favor ? You dont play against worldwinner you play against other players. The problem is more likely that worldwinner takes too much in fees for each game. That has nothing to do with odds.

I totally agree and I'm glad you brought it up.l I've been playing for over a year now and I've found the same thing. There are games I know I'm very good at but even with my best score I'm still I'm not even close to the top. After a year of playing I have won once in a daily competition and just a few times when I've played against 2 or 3 people. I only play in the free competitions now but no matter how good I play I'm always way down at the bottom. I just can not see how people can get those high scores unless 1) they are cheating or 2) It's a total scam. Another thing I have found, sometimes when I am playing well and getting a high score my pc will mysteriously shut down. :p
Well they are not getting another cent out of me!

worldwinner wrote: In the spirit of full disclosure, I work with WorldWinner and want to respond to your questions/concerns. WorldWinner is in fact, a legitimate company and not a scam site as you imply. WorldWinner is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liberty Media Corporation, and with more than 30 million registered players, WorldWinner hosts more than 20 million tournaments every month. You can find out more about the company by visiting: WorldWinner Cash Competitions.

Some points of clarification:

ON FAIRNESS: WorldWinner goes to great lengths to ensure that the casual game tournaments we provide are both fair, and contests of skill as opposed to luck. The goal of our competitions is to provide casual gamers with a forum for friendly competition and therefore, WorldWinner always serves as an impartial tournament host (players always compete against one another; never against WorldWinner). As such, we have no vested interest in the outcome of a tournament. In addition, WorldWinner matches players based on the FairMatching System to provide each player with opponents of an equal skill level. You can find additional details here: WorldWinner Cash Competitions - My Account (keyword: match).

ON TAXES: WorldWinner does report player winnings to the IRS as is required by law. We have worked directly with the IRS to ensure we follow their guidelines and send our players the appropriate tax forms with a clear explanation about IRS procedures. We also provide our contact information online and our customer support team is always available to provide more clarification about the tax forms we issue our players. If there's any confusion, players can easily reach a real person for a direct answer. Additional information is available here: WorldWinner Cash Competitions - My Account (keyword: tax).

If you have any additional questions, please respond to this post or send an email. We’re always happy to address your concerns. Thank you.

Worldwinner is not the only Skill Games Site out there!!

Why not try: Gamebonus-com, Gameaccount-com, or Gamecolony-com.......try them out and see if they are better than ------Worldwinner-com.

Have a nice day!!

I hope when poker gets legal and "regulated", it doesn't start to become like this...you win but end up owing more in taxes than you won...that would suck.:what:

I was referring to the odds of a player making a long-term profit. They've twisted their system heavily in favor of their own profit. I didn't say they play with the odds of winning a game, which is supposedly determined by one-on-one gameplay. Here's the thing - if you have to win 90% of the time to make any money, with the site and the IRS raping you along the way, then the ODDS of you making a long term profit are slim. WorldWinner knows you're going to pay a heavy penalty to the IRS, and they are hoping you'll be ignorant enough of this fact to keep playing and give their sorry, greedy, fat corporate asses an unworthy cut of your winnings.

I'm pretty sure that you can count your losses to even out your winnings. Say you deposit 10 dollars and end up on a winning streak and your account now shows $1,010. Now you are on a losing streak and end up losing that 1,010 dollars. Your winnings are 1,000 and loses are 1,010. I think it evens out so you dont have to pay taxes on the "winnings".

I'm not positive on this, but I think its correct.

Needless to say, I quit playing there long ago. The better you get at a game, they match you up with others who are just as good, so someone will always end up beating you. I do believe that people use cheater programs to win on that site.

These places where the companies are, they are not governed by any official law, only laws made up by the people who owned the land at the time. Your money is gone as soon as you deposit you will have given away 60% right off the bat, this goes to affiliates and the other 40% will seem to grow and come to a slow and steady decline as it dwindles away, SCAM....... has anyone taken a look at the sites for the governing parties, sometimes not updated for months and months, would seem a place that governs over 100 gambling networks would be more on top of things..... Oh yes you are experiencing a problem send us an email and we will look into it😡😡😡!! LMFAO you are all being scammed

Technically, worldwinner is a legitimate company. However, it was set up to average out your winnings at minus 8%. Of course, if you get frustrated while down and leave, you're out of luck. This keeps it within gambling regulations. The caveat is that you pay taxes on winnings, but can't deduct losses. You will get a tax statement from worldwinner and the government will force you to pay taxes, even if you actually lost money on worldwinner, which you will do according to the law of averages. Either way, you lose.

The more you play, the more you will lose at worldwinner. Legally, it is legit, but morally, it is a criminal enterprise. Good luck and enjoy surrendering your cash to the lawyers and politicians who designed this website to take advantage of you.

cugger wrote: There is a bot for bejeweled2 at worldwinner and I am giving it away for free . WHY . Because this site is stealing peoples hard earned money . I use to be one of the best 9 ball players there and they closed my account and kept my money for no reason and there always doing it to players and stealing there money there entitled too . There services sucks . there fairness is a bunch of crap . I re registered under a new name and played 9 ball and just got really bad scores . I then played in 24 hours and was put in level 2 . I placed 5th in that and the next 24 hour I was in level 1 . THERE ARE NO SUCH LEVELS OF 3 AND 4 AND THEY DON'T GIVE PRISES FOR THEM NON DIVISIONS . First when this site started they use to give you a percentage of ALL monies wagered . then it went to 100.00 , then to 60.00 and now its down to 25.00 . You want to talk about cheating and stealing . Its not bad enough they take around 40 % and now 28 % taxes and I am convinced they insert there own scores . So the greedy Ba....ds are raking in every Penney they can get .

I have used this bot to see how it works and it is great . It is very fast and It averages 10,000 . After playing with it for a few days I can now see that there are a lot of people using it and them scores are unbelievable . So I asked myself why is this site such thieves . I mean My best score in 9 ball was 27450 and when i played for a few days I seen players constantly score 27560 . every 5 games . same winners . I even seen 1 score of 27579 . Thats impossible without a cheat program . I also believe Jose is involved in inside corruption . And I have proof from a former employee there who also told me a lot of what goes on there .

Its is time to put an end to those cheating thieving site and I am the one to do it . Fairness my arse . I played 10 games of 9 ball and matched with players at level 90 and 100 . If worldwinner insist there is no cheating then why wont they take my advise and let players watch other players games . its not that hard to do . Now I know what some of you might say that they don't want there tip exploited but hey , somethings got to be done . they have enough money to do it but all there concerned about is taking you money and not upgrading to make the site better as . One word GREED .

I can go on and on about this site But it boils me too see how they treat good player . and king.com is just as bad . good players , see ya later . don't win because they don't like that . other players wont play if you get good scores so they use some sort of excuse to get rid of the good players . they only want players that deposit , not with draw . I think I have said enough for now . Stay tuned for part 2 where I will post some screen shots and tell you more on how these sites steal peoples money and the BBB and others do nothing about it . Why don't the government regulate these sites and as for tax time you have to pay taxes on your winning but not loses . So if you lose 100.00 and win it back you still have to pay taxes on 100.00 . You didn't make 100.00 you broke even and you should not have to pay taxes open nothing . I will elaborate on this in part 2 .

If you want this bot email me and its yours . Maybe then when every one has it then they might change a few things . and start treating people with respect . Live help . yea right . I will also post some chat from then in part 2 and you will see how rude and ignorant they are and always pass you on to there so called fairness team .

This bot is for experiential purposes only and should not be used for the purpose of winning money . That would be illegal . I just want the world to know its out there and which make me believe there are other bots for other games and the site does nothing about it . But ban good players whilst cheaters can play freely . If you want to respond worldwinner you can email me too because you wont answer my emails and I gave you the opportunity to reopen my account that you closed because I was a good 9 ball player but you refused to communicate with me . You had your chance and the first bot I gave away was to 60 minutes . along with more damaging evidence as well as over 100 letters from people that said there account was closed for no reason . Shame on you worldwinner . You had a good thing going there but your greed will be your downfall and you lies and deceit . You had your chance . But you blew it just like you doing with you thieving site . Ever wonder why you get a high score and always seem to be beaten by a little higher score then now you know why . All I asked was to reopen my account so I could win back some of the money was stolen from me But with such poor service you ignored me . then ignore me now . I told you I was not kidding around and its time your site was exposed for what it really is .

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow! Thanks for all these comments. If I ever get tempted to play at one of these sites - I will now find it easy to say "no"!

My only question is: if you find they cheat, why do you continue to play there?
Just curious!

In the World Winner business plan (and this is confirmed by WW) they keep money from cheaters rather than redistributing it to the rightful winners. This creates a situation where WW benefits from people cheating and not calling them on it right away. They can wait until a cheater places tops in a big touney where payouts are very high. Then ban the cheater and pocket the profits.

this is completely unethical as a business practice.

Players at ww will confirm that when a cheater is reported that it takes weeks and weeks for ww to actually do anything about it.

WW can also wait until a suspected cheater has a large sum of money in their account and then ban them. When they do this ww has given themselves the right to keep the loot.
