2010 WSOP Schedule: Harrah's announced yesterday the schedule for the 2010 World Series of Poker. There are some new additions and tweaks to the schedule, including a $50,000 Player's Championship as the first event, which replaces the HORSE event but will still be played in an eight-game format with a No Limit Holdem final table and will award the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy. New to the schedule on the high end is a $25,000 6-Handed No Limit Holdem event and on the lower end the first six weekends of the WSOP will play host to a $1,000 No Limit Holdem event to try and attract the weekend warriors and low stakes amateurs.

The WSOP will also feature a much-expanded footprint as tables will now also be set up in the entire convention area at the Rio, including the 58,000-square-foot Pavilion Ballroom and the 38,000-square-foot Amazon Room. This will allow for roughly 20% more tables to be set up and will hopefully eliminate the trek to Buzios during the larger events. The Poker Kitchen will also be moved back inside, to the Miranda Room, so no more walking through clouds of smoke to get something to eat.

This is the first WSOP that Annette Obrestad will be able to play in, (she's old enough now) so it should be very interesting to see how she does...Any IX'ers planning to play in it?

Is the full event schedule posted on a Harrah's website yet? It would be nice to add a link to it.
