A Better Bodog Poker Site

In an effort to always stay ahead of the curve when it comes to online poker and what we offer our customers, Bodog has made a few tweaks to our poker site that we believe will make the experience even better for our players.

The main change involves mucking cards. Now by this we don’t mean discarding but showing how many cards you flip over in Texas Hold’em. At some in-person casinos, players are allowed to only flip one of their two cards over in an effort to gain an advantage on the other players – mainly by not letting them know what you were holding if you have to fold the hand. Our site used to have an automatic muck button (and still does), but now you can simply turn over one card if that’s how you want to play it. It should had a little excitement to your online games, and certainly every little possible advantage helps.

In addition, if you now happen to reach the final table in one of our multi-table tournaments, you will be rewarded with a seat at an exclusive final table. If you are good enough to reach the final table, you should be rewarded with a different experience, and these new graphics will add a bit of that. And lastly, players who win entries into events such as the World Series of Poker or Bodog’s Weekly 100K Guaranteed Tournaments on the site will now get tournament tickets instead of tournament credits.

I was lucky enough to reach a final table and was very surprised to see the table theme/color change. I didn't know what was going on...
very confusing...I wish I read this post earlier....

Yeah, that was a new thing. Must've been in one of the two or three updates in the last week or so. Personally, I don't give a crap what the table looks like as long as I'm still at it! 😄

I'd be happy playing on an all white background if it would cut down on the lag I experience with bodog...not a single problem with any other site, but all the animations and pretty graphics for some reason really slow things down...can the next update include an option to shut them off? please?

Check the options settings, sn1p3r. I think you can turn off the animations yourself. Sometimes the software client will turn them off itself if it realizes it's slowing things down. . .

Bodog hasn’t become one of the biggest gambling portals in the world for no reason and, once again, the brainchild company of Calvin Ayre has stepped-up its game to provide online poker players with the best experience possible.
