California lawmakers are toying with the idea of legalizing Internet poker for residents as a way to raise revenue for the financially strapped state. No formal bill has been proposed, and the concept has just been kicked around.

Regulation would be a good thing for everyone involved. We already have lotteries and casinos - how do you not justify legalizing poker? Not surprised to hear California is a little ahead of the curve in consideration. That's just the way they operate, on the cutting edge.

At this time of day, I’m going to guess 30,000 to 40,000 people are playing in California. Whatever our Government do, they will play online!!

Hopefully this will be the start of Legalizing Internet Poker and the become the catalyst to the rest of the country to do the same. It's time the government realizes that legalizing poker would bring in a untapped potential income to an economy that is in need.

Rather Regulate then Risk.
