Anybody who meets the requirements -- MINIMAL as they are -- will, in time, be allowed to play in the tournaments. And the access doesn't come automatically once you hit a post count. The admins & mods are doing that themselves; no automatic bit in your accoun profile turns on giving you the key to password kingdom once you have whatever number of postings. . .
