Yes, Bodog does credit you with points when you play in freerolls in their room. I haven't calculated it accurately, but I think it's somewhere on the order of .75 points per hour that you are in a tournament. Maybe someone has a more accurate answer or maybe the information is somewhere on the Bodog website. . .

I think it's 1pt per hour and credited to your account at a certain time. It's also listed in your "account" section.

I originally thought it would be a point an hour also, but my calculations never seem to work out that way. . .

Best way to know for sure: play one tournament on one day -- and no others -- for as close to one hour as possible and then dump your chips so you bust out of the tournament. Then check how much you got credit for. . .:1orglaugh

And it does not get credited until the wee morning hours -- either around 2AM or 3AM -- the "Account" section will tell you the exact time. . .

I think you used to get 30 points if you registered for their $500 frerolls. I don't know about private freerolls...

I know it's not that many 'cause I've played the $500s often. . .and I don't believe there's any difference between Bodog open freerolls and private freerolls. . .

Thanks, but checking only really requires one person, but it might be interesting if different people were being awarded points at different rates. . .

it IS based on time played
I checked my acct
& I had 1.66 pts for the last game I played there
(which was the only game in the last 31 days )
I believe that'd of been a IX game, which, I think I was the bubble
Dont remember how long it lasted, maybe someone else does

I would think, the more you put into a tourney entry/fee
the more pts/time plyd would result

There are $300 "freerolls" which you can enter using 30 Bodog poker points, but as far as I know you do not get 30 points for registering for the $500 freeroll. . .

OK. . .we can stop guessing now: Bodog Poker Points - What Are They and How Do The Work?
Interestingly, they say they do not give credit for time you spend sitting out. . .

50 free points:

Open an account, create your Screen Name and 50 Poker Points will automatically be added to your player account.

You receive 1 point for every 60 minutes spent playing at a table (sitting out is not "playing time"). You can earn a maximum of 500 points for playing time per calendar month.

In tournaments you need to factor out the 5 min break.

Would any one like to see Bodog open up a Rewards store?

Here is how the point system works at Bodog currently:

What are Bodog Poker Points?
Bodog Poker Points (PTS) are vital to your game. While you're playing, you're earning, and once you've piled some up, it's time to realize their value. Convert them to Cash or use them to enter some of the biggest poker tournaments available; Bodog’s Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed, the World Series in Vegas and other live events in the Player's Choice program.

Earning Poker Points
50 Free Points: One of the first steps to getting started in the poker room is to create a screen name, which is part of your public identity at the tables. Download the Bodog Poker Software and login using your Bodog Account details. You’ll be prompted to create your Screen Name and 50 Poker Points will automatically be added to your player account.

Earning More Poker Points:
Rake Points
$1.00 - $3.00 1.00
$0.50 - $0.95 0.50
$0.25 - $0.45 0.25
$0.05 - $0.20 0.10
1.Ring Games - You will earn points by playing in ring games when you have contributed to a raked pot.
2.Tournaments - You receive 3 points for every $1.00 in fees paid for tournaments you enter. For example, you will get 15 points for a tournament with an entry of $50 + $5 (buy-in + fee).
3.Time Spent Playing - You receive 1 point for every 60 minutes spent playing at a table (sitting out is not "playing time"). You can earn a maximum of 500 points for playing time per calendar month.

Using your Points
Poker Points to Cash: It doesn't get any better than this. Bodog Poker let's players turn their poker points into cold, hard cash.

Poker Point Tournaments: Low on cash this month but itching to play some poker? Why not use your points to play?

Double Poker Points: Earn 2000 or more poker points in a month and we'll double your monthly total for you! To learn more click here

No.. you get points for time played... play money or not. 1 point for 1 hour of play. You also get points for MTT's entered with real money and points for playing real money rings. Might also note: they will give you 1 point for entering the $500 freerolls whether or not you play it. Just enter and sit out and you get a point because you will last at least an hour. Now we know why the sitouts in the $500 freerolls!:what:

Yep.... it's true!:confused::rolleyes:
