Jennifer Harman is going to be joining Billie Brown and Kathy Liebert in the newest round of inductees into the Women’s Poker Hall of Fame. The 46 year-old Harman is widely considered to be among the best female poker players in the world, having started playing the game at eight years old. Her first WSOP bracelet was earned in 2000 in the difficult No Limit Deuce To Seven Lowball Event in one of those stories that's too good to be true: she had never played the game and picked it up in a five-minute tutoring session from Howard Lederer before walking out to the table. In 2002, she won her second WSOP bracelet in the $5,000 Limit Hold 'Em event, making her the only woman to hold two bracelets in open events at the World Series of Poker.
Harman also authored part of the world-renowned Super System II guide, focusing on Limit Hold 'em games and is the only woman that's a regular at "The Big Game," the (in)famous high-stakes cash game at the Bellagio. Her charity work is rightly-praised by many, as she has organized and hosted a number of charity poker events around the country, including the National Kidney Foundation and the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Add in her other mega-cash games and TV appearances, and it's easy to see why she's a shoo-in for the Women's Poker Fall of Fame.
