If you've not been keeping up with the action leading up to the Bodog Poker Open V, then it's time to get on board! Starting September 26th, players from all over the world are battling for their share of over $300,000 in cash and prizes and Bodog has made it easier than ever for you to get your name in our hall of fame with two tracks for players: the Championship and Contender

The Championship Series is aimed at players with a big bankroll and the skills to make it bigger; there's more guaranteed money on the table, but a tougher field. It kicks off with a $15,000-added tournament with a $100+$9 buy in on Sunday, September 26th and gets better through the week leading up to the Main Event on Sunday, October 3. That's when the series-capping $200,000 guaranteed tournament occurs and a new name will be added to the Bodog Poker Hall of Fame. In addition to a large cash prize, bragging rights for at least the next year and fame, the Championship Series winner is also going to get a bonus: a Corum Championship watch that's valued at over $5,000.

Don't have the bank for the Championship Series? Our Contender Series is perfect for players who love the game but are still trying to master poker's ins and outs. It starts on the same Sunday as the Championship with a more modest $10+1 buy-in to a $7,500 guaranteed tournament and culminates in a $46+4 No Limit Hold 'Em tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $15,000.

Bodog Poker pros Amanda Musumeci and Evelyn Ng talked about the upcoming Bodog Poker Open V and the watch that’s got everyone talking. While the winner of the $470+$30 Championship Series Main Event can look forward to a very hefty cash prize and a place in the Bodog Poker Open Hall of Fame, the online poker room has added an engraved Corum Championship Chronograph that’s worth over $5,000. Corum makes the bracelets for the World Series of Poker and the same high quality is evident in this unique piece of poker history. There’s just one snag for both of the Bodog pros: it’s a men’s watch and both Amanda and Evelyn are single women.

When asked about the watch and who’d they give it to, Amanda said that she’d probably give it to her grandmother. “She loves collecting things. And she cries (tears of happiness of course) every time one of us achieves anything that she feels is extraordinary. Seeing her that overwhelmed with happiness is a great gift to me.” Evelyn’s response? “Who said I have to give it away?!?”
